Farage

I never said it was, try reading what i put again. First statement was that we need ukip with a strong leader and new goal, as we need more major political parties. Second was stating that we need more political parties with people from less affluent backgrounds.

Can people not read for some reason when Ukip is mentioned? i said that they need a new strong leader with a new goal.

But then thats not "UKIP" though? Its a new party, not necessarily with any or all of the same supporters as UKIP.

UKIP had one goal and thats done. A lot of people only supported UKIP because of that one goal. No guarantee that any of them would follow a new agenda.

But agreed we need more parties and different views in politics. But its not UKIP anymore.

Anyway Aaron has already said he's disbanding/pulling his funding from UKIP and forming a new party as UKIPs job is done and its finished now and there is no place in it for Farage

Since labour became anti-labour.

People turned to them because the parliamentarians held them in total contempt and people are waking up to what has been happening.

The immigration problem has been there for some time. Its not going away either. Many seem to forget that working class or as I call them the working poor are still subject in many (possibly most cases) to the effects of the recession. As an example my total wage rise from 2010-2016 has been 4%. Its minus figures when inflation comes into it. These 2.2% and 3.1% wage rises o'er quarter is driven by the super and hyper rich. What was it directors salaries increased by over 30years? 180x? Vs a standard worker who by comparison might be lucky to have doubled or tripled?

That's Tory's fault and austerity. They won the last election. I fail to see that that has to do with Labour?

Plus until last week that was all the Eu's fault

Like Farage you mean? Went to the same school as Cameron and is a millionaire and the party is/was funded by a multi millionaire?

Actually, Cameron went to Eton like many of his ministerial chums. Farage went to Dulwich college.

And jumping to conclusions much? i am talking about what labour used to be, it had a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. but now it is just filled with the middle classes etc.

Its all parties fault ultimately to allow the wage gap to have become so large.

Labour have had a difficult run and are now having to have a reassessment of their position.

:\ it wasn't the EUs fault. It has been an apathetic action to the working poor and now this is the reaction.

I would argue that Labour is now plagued with upper classes and not enough labouresque and working jobs.

Which is what labour was never meant to be, it was always supposed to have been the party of the working class. And the one that helped the unions maintain workers rights etc. But all that seems to have happened now is that the unions have slowly lost power due to the middle classes taking over labour.

Today labour is no different from the conservatives and lib dems. Hence the need for more parties with people from varied backgrounds.

But for newer parties to get better representation, we need to be rid of FPTP.

You'd think he has a pretty limited circle of engagements given his ability to offend and his crowd polarising opinions. I certainly wouldn't stay in the room if he was paid to speak at an event I was attending.

I don't think you're likely to have that issue in the first place. On the other hand there are plenty of US Republicans who will lap it up.

Sorry you were talking about UKIP and the country needing more parties with people from people from less affluent backgrounds. Clearly that isnt UKIP. So if you are going to throw them all out, you may as well just shut it and start a new party.

Well we are a democracy and we voted them in.

Come on Greebs no need be sarcastic.

We vote at a GE for an MP who in turn is led by the prospective PM. We don't get to choose the Labour candidate as a general rule.

Thankfully it now seems that the local labour parties and clubs are starting to turn the tide and are slating the MPs for their actions. The working poor/class have long memories of parties.

No but if you dont like your MP then don't vote them in surely?

I think labour is better than what it was. When Blair was ruling the roost, it looked like Conservative Lite.

But, I loathe my Labojr MP... She's the informant of the US that recently ran off crying for "anti-semiticsm". But if I wanted say Corbyn to become PM that becomes the necessary option.

The sad thing is Labour has lost touch with its roots and what it was about. It was there to protect workers and the poor. I forget who said it but essentially MPs used to be known and all used to stand for something whether it be fisherman, banking reform, TUs etc but now we have MPs who represent nothing. And more MPs who you have to dig out a stance the may have which is non-too-popular.

Labour is now possibly as right wing as the Tories were. At this present moment it is only the touted 1% who actually benefit from any form of shift in any form of political addendum.

(Not seen your post history in this thread so not sure if this is serious or not. Assuming serious.)

59.8% of people in London are white.

44.9% are white British. While that is technically a minority (<50%) it is by far the largest single group. The next largest groups are Other white (12.6%) and African (7%).

Also, I don't think white Brits fit the definition of a minority group:

Apart from in some small areas, white brits are definitely the social majority.

tongue in cheek yes but just saying I could equally say sadiq khan is against me using the same logic as people use against farage and trump

Farage : "and on that bomb shell, goodnight"

What a complete ********. I wish nothing but misfortune on the rancid little turnip.

I was thinking the same thing. He said his goal was to get Britain out of EU and that's done and now he's off??? What a ****.

What about what happened after he got Britain out of the EU, and how nice of him to admit his only goal was to get us out of the EU as opposed to actually making things better.

Just another **** who wanted to get famous and try to make some money. How can this guy not face any consequences???

Typical political careerist. It epitomises the pond life politicians that we have bred. The ideal that a politician is there to serve the people and represent their voices has long been lost. This guy just did well on peddling rhetoric, pandering to people's fears and making out that he was "one of the people" who cared about the "little man".
That's obviously all horse ****, none of them care about you or the beliefs of the people. They actually believe you serve them!!

I've long advocated that we wipe them all from office and start again. The matter that they're all standing down anyway is frustrating that we can no longer hold them accountable and then sack them ourselves.

If the MPs carry on, we might wipe a whole load of the Labour camp out at the next General Election, who knows when that will be?

you do realise he's an MEP and not in government... in getting us out of the EU he's making himself redundant eventually anyway

his goal was to get us out of the EU and he's succeeded, like him or not I'm not seeing the issue there - he has seemingly achieved what he intended to achieve from the start
