DPD Driver.

Be grateful it wasn't Yodel.

They would have launched your package from 30 feet, over the fence and hope it landed somewhere soft.

Out of all the couriers around, I always choose DPD because they are simply the best on offer.

I'm quite surprised that most of you know your drivers. How do you even get time to talk to them they are always in a hurry!

Emmanuel is mine, delivers to SW16. He's one of those African chaps who's always got a smile from ear to ear. Can always rely on him to deliver on time.

What exactly is your problem? All delivery companies will try and leave with a neighbour unless instructed not to do so - it's par for the course.

Secondly, these guys are on the clock. They don't have time to stand around chatting. Often they don't have the time to knock on several doors to find someone to take your parcel or hang around for a few minutes waiting for a door to be answered. It all adds up and can put them behind.

My DPD guy is ace and I wish he delivered all my mail.

OP if you're have trouble with the current driver have checked online with the vendor to see if they have a newer one, are you definitely using the right one for your OS?

By strange coincidence, a DPD driver knocked my door this afternoon to ask if he could leave a neighbour's parcel with me.

He asked me to sign for it, asked for my surname, and made sure of my house number, before putting a card through my neighbour's letterbox.

Keith is my local dpd driver. Nice, prompt bloke and we a quick chat about the monitor he was delivering last time.
The one in my home town is good and prompt too.

Cant fault DPD so far for me

I would be echoing the compliments for DPD were it not for my experience today.
To cut a long story short, DO NOT TRUST THE TRACKING, make sure you are there for the delivery hour, the tracking can lie.
All previous occasions of DPD delivering the tracking was spot on and I've managed to be home 5 minutes prior to John (the normal driver) arriving. Today, unfortunately, he managed to deliver 4 packages in 3 minutes and I missed him by 2 minutes. Poop happens, it's now being delivered tomorrow and I won't be trusting the tracking app, but waiting by the door for the full duration of the hour lol.
Just some cautionary advice, the tracking is fantastic, and in my experience has been spot on 9/10 times. To avoid disappointment on that 1/10 times, be home and alert for the hour window :)

The anger in the OP is quite sad. You got your parcel, he was doing his job. Get a grip man. My DPD driver will try a second time if i'm not in and then leave it with my neighbour. I barely know my neighbour but I'll take parcels for them and likewise.

DPD leave your parcels in wheelie bins as a safe place then take and upload a photo of said parcel in the wheelie bin as proof. Only problem is every wheelie bin in town looks the same and the wheelie bin in question wasn't mine.
