Sorry this is simply down to my travel I had not spotted the delay earlier, I had assumed as all orders were released as planned Tuesday they would have arrived in time for Thursday (99% of the time this is the case) I have been travelling and just back this afternoon to discover the delay. Hence my response this evening.

No worries. Nothing personal against you of course, and I (and I'm sure everyone else) appreciate you coming here to fill us in as best you can. Feel free to pass our grumblings on to those higher up that deserve it though :)

But you can't ship what you don't have, so don't be too hard on yourself if nobody supplied with anything to dish out. The blame is very much shared.

As for my order i'm still waiting but i'm in the first lot:

Hi guys

Please accept my apologies for the delay today. The shipment is confirmed with TNT tracking for tomorrow delivery at OCUK warehouse. Our warehouse was overwhelmed with orders on Tuesday and some shipments hit a 1 day delay, I can only apologise OCUK was one of these. I had asked for priority but seemingly it didn't work.

Next week batch flight into NL was confirmed today also so more units in next week for OCUK, again this time I expect Thursday 14th at the latest as no month end inventory counts.

Thanks again and please accept my apology for the 24 hour delay.

Look I know this is properly a first world problem and there's been a fair bit of OTT grumbling on here but this is the kind of mistake that really hits your/the company's reputation for customer service and reliable information.

You've been posting for days about the thursday delivery so this as an excuse is poor IMO. OCUK are basically the premier GPU retailer in the UK really I think you should have ensured priority for them, rather than just tried your best. Also it's not a 24 hour delay really is it. OC are going to be properly pressed to get them out on Friday so once you factor in the weekend we're talking multiple days.

Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill here but I went with EVGA largely due to the supposed warranty and support. This is hitting my confidence in it tbh.
 
Ben, I think a lot of us if not the majority appreciate your constant updates and the effort that you have put in. I'm sure there are few people that just don't understand SLA's and how sometimes no matter what you do things don't go according to plan.

No way would I jump ship to go to MSI or Gigabyte from EVGA. I'm "holding the line and staying the course". its onyl a matter of days now when we will have these cards.

Frustrated as I am not to get my SC tomorrow now, it is worth remembering the only reason we were expecting them to arrive today is that Ben is trying to keep us as well-informed as he can. Most other manufacturers don't bother interacting with end customers this directly, and we would be relying on estimates from OC themselves. If we overreact too much then Ben will just not bother giving any dates in the future.

Do I upgrade to Saturday delivery though? Currently the shipping is free on my order...

Really? Do you see any other vendors on here posting updates? Fair play to Ben for constantly posting here. You really need to get things in perspective, its a damn graphics card after all.
 
Ben from EVGA chose to post here, so it's his problem if people complain. I'm sure he's used to it, and doesn't need defending by other people.
 
Guys chill out they're on the way! I'm not even in the first batch I'm hoping to be in the second! EVGA Rep and ocuk have been open with us for the past couple of weeks cut them some slack. It's sunny out head to the pub, good things come to those who wait.
 
Different question @Ben, any idea on more stock of the HB Bridges? Seems like everywhere has none of the 60mm bridges so be good to know when to expect more.

excuse my ignorance here but why did you not cancel your order and go for the Gigabyte cards that were in stock?

aren't all the 1080's all within a small margin of max OC anyway??
