10 police officers shot by snipers at BLM protest in Dallas

I blame Black Lives Matter for perpetuating the lie that cops target blacks. The statistics show unarmed blacks are shot by police at the same rate as whites. And given that blacks as a proportion commit more violent crimes, that suggests police are cautious about shooting blacks.
 
Thoughts to the families of the shot officers .

Obviously there are plenty of great police officers who mean well but they are tainted by the bad eggs and those above who refuse to hold anyone accountable for the manslaughter of innocent civilians .

That's where the blame should be but it's not hard to see why the blame is now being spread to innocent officers who's job gets made harder every time this happens

Lots of anger , lots of fear , lots of guns. Never going to be a good outcome
 
US police killed over 900 people in 2015 (1100 according to some sources).

British police have killed 33 since 1995.

Right to bear arms? No thanks.
 
The perpetrators of this horrendous act should count themselves lucky that they don't do lynching anymore.

We have people on here who think 'blood on the streets' is justified just because of a vote...

Those two recent videos are pretty damning though, one guy pinned to the ground then shot multiple times, the other informs the police officer he has a permit and is carrying a licenced concealed firearm (hardly something you do if you are intending to use it against him) then gets shot when obeying the instructions to get his ID.

Good to see the main protest was peaceful though until hijacked by these few extremists
 
It is unfortunate that it has got to this, but as long as the police continue to protect those officers that go around executing people this won't stop.
This is the second video I've seen where police officers have pinned a man down and then shot them dead. They need to sort this out.
 
Owch, thats bad. As much as there is very much a gung ho attitude with a lot of american cops, one wonders if its a product of living in a country where being shot as a police officer is such a real possibility.

Thing is, gunning down police in the street is hardly going to make them any less inclined to be the ones who shoot first in any encounter. To quote a song "now the cops got tanks cos the kids god guns"
 
Saw the video of the lone cop trying to take the shooter down on FOX.

Tragic outcome, the shooter fires at the cop and apparently put another 4 or 5 in his back at point blank as he was down.

Bad eggs or no, shows how the US PD put their life on the line everyday.

Isn't it strange how most people normally want to lynch paedophiles, but everyone is currently mourning the death of one simply because he was black and using as it as an excuse to kill innocent officers.

These actions cannot be justified no matter which way you look at it, in fact it will probably have the opposite effect and cause further tension and incidents.

Why would the shooters (and any other people) think that hijacking a peaceful rally and shooting a load of cops is going to help?? There is clearly an issue with parts of the US police force, and they do have a tough job in parts of the country, but this could do more harm than good.
