Lying caused Remain to lose

No it didn't.

Imagine if you were correct, that would mean people voted to change the face of our economy not for the fundamentals but because a bunch of people who decided to campaign 'lied' about it. Surely that makes the Leave vote even more silly.

It was the Leave 'lies' that made the biggest difference - without further investigation the idea of 350m a week more for the NHS, massive cuts in immigration, Turkey joining the EU, amazing new trade deals, etc etc all sound awesome to many and would have influenced their choice surely?

So work has suddenly dried up in the last two weeks with immediate effect? Sounds more like an employer cynically exploiting the situation to make cuts to me. Good luck to him finding work though.

This seems very premature. We still have the same access to the market as before. It is highly likely we will continue to have this market access as both potential PMs have put this at the top of their priorities. I would be very surprised if anything changed at all on this. I can understand holding back on investment until this is confirmed but to actually stop work is OTT.

Obviously work has not dried up over the last two weeks, but companies (no names, but this is a large one) cannot take short-term views. Leave voters' apparent surprise that this is happening doesn't stop the fact that is already is, and will likely continue to do so.

For me, I'm a PostDoc biologist/bioinformatician who will soon be moving into the new Francis Crick Institute next to St Pancras station. This is the largest biomedical research centre in Europe, and an enormous number of the science workforce are from Europe and beyond (70 nationalities, apparently). Brexit makes the UK an unwelcoming prospect, and for foreign nationals working here already, their status is uncertain. To apply for citizenship is not cheap (>£1k IIRC). Personally, I'd like to secure funding to start my own group within the next few years, but I can no longer rely on the fact that I will be able to apply for EU funding. UK funding will be stretched and numbers of applications will increase, increasing the (already high) levels of competition. Science and technology budgets do not often get much love when the purse strings are tightened!

You could argue that it did ie the leave campaign lying caused tem to get most votes so ergo remain got less because of leaves lying.

In reality everyone lied nobody has won anything it's not a competition and in the end I suspect nobody will be particularly happy with the end result. Those who voted remain won't be happy we left and those that voted leave won't like the terms of the deal but oh well we got rid of Dave so everything is good.

The world will keep turning the UK won't become destitute or all powerful, the rich will get richer the poor will get poorer and despite all this noise nothing will really change!

He meant 'Remain' lying caused their own loss, not that lies in general didn't tip the balance which I don't think is in doubt.

In this weird new world, we may see Sainsburys as becoming one of the cheaper supermarkets. They source considerably more from the UK than other stores and often use it to justify higher prices.

When sales decline the market will have to lower prices to adapt or they'll sink. Profit margins will take a hit for sure.

for uk sourced produce I don't think most of the farmers can take that hit though, especially if they get all the CAP rebates pulled out from under them also.

Your statement that all the leavers on here and elsewhere are deluded, gullible morons is somewhat far fetched even for you.

Read again, you seem to be struggling with comprehension, I didn't say all Leavers are deluded gullible morons, I said all the deluded gullible morons voted Leave

I know right, I'm still waiting for the war I voted for!

See nobody said there would be instant war they said that the EU and its predecessors has had a stabilising effect on the region and that any move away rom the EU could risk that. Sadly that makes a dull headline/soundbite so everyone was like zoooommmmmgggggg WW3 but hey you believe what ever you want!

They genuinely think it's just like a game of football or something and it doesn't really matter. Which explains the way many voted I guess - 'oh it doesn't matter, lets just use it to protest'

So you keep saying...
