The Pascal GTX 1070 Owners Thread

You were right! Sending the FE back and ordered the Palit jetstream. Screenshot that as it s rare thing for me to admit :D

Haha ;) Don't worry about it, I did the exact same thing and sent my EVGA Founders back and paid an extra £10 (much more than that now!) for the Gaming X. The Jetstream is great, I have a 980Ti Super Jetstream too which is off getting RMA'd at the moment.

RMA'D??? You've worried me again now lol what is their RMA process like?

I had to send it off to a competitor to OcUK which I won't mention and they have sent it off to Hong Kong now so I'll have to wait and see what happens! It just locked up on me while gaming and then refused to come to life at all a few weeks ago so I don't know what happened. I think its a rare occurance though so don't worry :)

So got my Palit GeForce GTX 1070 GameRock Premier in good time thanks OCUK .;)

Nice sweets as always .:p

Got it in my new build for a racing simulator ,i spent more time sorting windows 10 Pro out than building it .:(

Anyway did a Fire strike run totaly bog standard out of the box :-

And i have to say im looking forward to some base clocking on the cpu just for the fun of it ,this 1070 seems bang on for the job .

I also got the led name plate showing blue all the time which looks great , i'll try to do a picture later .

Just ordered an MSI armor 1070 to replace my trusty old EVGA 780.

Sad that I couldn't get it from OCuK as their price is £429.99 and I ordered from a competitor for £387 inc delivery.

The competitor also do free RMA return postage so not fussed about the lack of haribo this time.

OCuK extreme price gouging, if it continues then i'll have to order everything elsewhere.

by the way guys if anyone is tempted to overclock over the stock, I seem to get more framerate from boosting the memory than the core clock, which is good since the memory is easy to overclock.

+400 on the memory has gave me approx extra 5% performance.

Rather impressed with my ocuk fe card. Bit worried when box turned up looking like it had been dropped from a great height but so far happy happy

Edit: time to save for a vr headset

Which make card did u get sent mate?

Just wondering as I've ordered a OCUK FE value card and wondered which ones they are sending out??

When i ordered my TX OCUK value i got sent Zotacs

I will be waiting a bit before buying a 1070. I would really prefer to buy from Oveclockers, as I have done in the past with the majority of my stuff, but there seem to be far better deals elsewhere at the moment :(

I felt the same way, I was going to wait until next month but at £387 it was too good to delay any more.

I would have liked to maintain loyalty with OCuK but I think they are turning up for work in purple shirts at the moment.

Could you trust the site to me too please? I know somewhere selling the MSI Armor for £387.99... but they have terrible customer service / RMA policies and since you said the place you bought it from offer free RMA I assume it's somewhere other than the shop I'm thinking of. Thanks!

Just ordered a Zotac 1070. I've had graphics cards die on me before, so the 5 yr warranty won me over.
Now just need to save up for the VR headset that it'll be running.

Those Zotac's do look really nice was tempted by one myself. An impressive choice of AIB cards on the dark side of GPU's ;)

Really looking forward to my Zotac Amp Extreme. Glad I locked in the price ages ago, seems to have sky rocketed since everywhere. Expecting delivery within the week! (hopefully)

Who has the quietest fans?
I've went with MSI after trying to find out and couldn't find a whole lot of info, nobody else seems to know.

Palit Jetstream/GameRock/Gainward Golden Sample have super low spinning fans and can spin as low as 900-1100 rpm during gaming load with a chunky 2.5 slot cooler.

You still won't find much quieter than the Gaming X though, you will be lucky to hear it spinning and not likely to go over 1300rpm when gaming. Fingers crossed you don't get any coil whine, although I've never had that with MSI cards.

My case fans are much louder than my MSI GX. I now need to have a play around with them to make them a little quieter :)
