Oldham - Torture

how much more(or less) should the judge have really gave ? they didnt kill him.
they didnt blind him or amputate him, they branded him with an iron which looks to be the worse of it.
to be getting 4 or 5 years in prison seems like a good sentence for them.

if that had happened to me and those responsible got those sentences i'd probably be happy with the result.

They've permanently disfigured someone. That's a life long thing. Not to mention the mental scars.
Put yourself in the kids shoes, can you imagine how utterly terrified he must have been?
This was a cold, callous and vicious attack. Do you think after two or three years in prison these people are just gonna completely change and never do anything bad again? Do you think it serves as any kind of deterrent?

I worked in a Juvenile prison for 6 months and I read & heard quite a few stories.
One was an Asian lad who had kidnapped another lad who he 'thought' had stole his drugs.
He tied him to a chair in his Mum's kitchen and tortured him with the worst one being a hand drill forced through the side of his face.
It was his attitude when he was describing it as though it was a comedy.
He then said he regretted nothing even though the lad hadn't had his drugs because he would have had them.

I've got loads of those anecdotes from my 6 months there, it really made me realise there's no future for some.

I did and felt it was a fair sentence.

Do i think they will change and never do anything bad again ? Do i think it serves as a deterrent ?
Too many questions.

12 months night curfew? Are you ****ing kidding me?

If they are organised and smart enough to lure someone into the home, then to tie them up knowing what actions they wish to carry out. They should be sentenced to a lot longer than that!!!

That's horrific and goes to show, harder sentencing required for these animals.

In a world where 80 million people are born every year (net), its probably best to just export them to a wilderness or something.

If they survive, then they deserve to.

Do you think a person should be spent to prison until he would never do anything wrong again ?

Should never answer a question with a question. Tut tut. However because I'm not a douche I'll answer, I think they should remain in prison until it can be reasonably certain they are not a threat to the public any more.

so you're saying im a douche just because i didnt answer your question...lol ?

So once there in jail what will happen to them then? There exactly the perfect prof thatile Jahdi recruiters target. Hopefully the wardens and governor know this and keep them well away from these people.

I never said you were a douche. I said I wasn't one. Notice you still haven't answered. Is that because you realise you have no argument?

So what is the number of years a person needs to spend in jail until he "completely changes" and how on earth is this subjective number related to the crime he commits?

People don't seem to understand how gangs work, and most certainly lack awareness of gang mentality. These kids are pretty much guaranteed to be complete pussies on their own. They're not sentenced as a gang, they're sentenced as individuals.

The fact that a debt was owed is a crucial one. An innocent person does not simply wake up one morning and decide to go borrow £80 of drugs or whatever it was from their local aspiring gangster with no intention of paying them back. At least he'll use Wonga.com next time.

you implied it and since i'm not a douche i can tell the difference when someone is making an argument to show their view is right and when someone is just sharing their opinion.

So...no. You won't answer any of the questions. In which case why even bother replying?

i could have but didn't see the point in answering your silly questions since i wasn't making an argument to say my view is right and everyone else who disagrees is wrong.
i was simply stating that i felt the sentence was fair.
