Have your children been christened

Yes.

I wouldn't have bothered as I think religion is a complete load of bull but the missus really wanted it so life was easier for me if i relented.

Yep - my little boy about a month ago. Great day and no - you don't get God shoved down your neck. It's a good day and a good excuse for several beers afterwards.

My son is Christened as Catholic. I only agreed to it to appease my Mrs' family because they went mental when they found out we weren't planning on doing it.
I'm not Christian so was kind of opposed to it.

Hmmn, Pros and Cons...!

Pros;

#1 A Christening ceremony formally introduces your new child to your wider family and your community.

#2 It is also a good excuse for a party.

#3 And you never know, the Godbotherers might actually be right!

Cons;

Err, whatever.

Win win I would say! :D

Nope, wife wanted kids christened but being a raging atheist I refused. Not keen on forcing something on the kids when they dont understand/dont have a choice, if they want to believe any of this rubbish they can when they are old enough to make up their own mind.

Wider family have met the kids loads and dont give a stuff about the community. :)

Yes, religion is obviously a load of old bobbins but it helped us to get our son into a great school out of our catchment. It was also nice to get friends and family.together for a load of beers.

How many people have church weddings, christenings, funerals etc even though they have no interest whatsoever in religion ?. It's all down to brain washing and conditioning from an early age by the establishment starting from childrens first days at school assembly.
So unless they are steered away from it as they grow up it they will follow suit and go through doing the same things without thinking why
