**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Everyone's always going on about getting the latest version of Android, but really how much differance does it make to day to day usage for 99% of people. I've just moved from a Nexus 6 on the latest software, to a Redmi Note 3 pro, and i don't miss anything, infact i probably couldn't tell you what the software offered over lollipop. Other than knowing that my shield Tab running MM allows the SD Card to be mounted and used as internal storage (which is massively handy on the shield with only 16gb onboard).

Still impressed with the phone. Performance is more than adequate and I don't think a more power phone would offer me anything extra using the apps i do. Only had to charge my phone 3 times last week, got 3 days and 7 hours screen on time over the weekend, and feel like i don't need to worry about the battery on longs days out, where i might hammer it.

Would be good to have a camera that was up there with the S7 and 6P in quality, etc, but it isn't a bad camera overall. For £165 I can live with it and an older version of Android

You have a point mate, the new beta has made the battery for me at least even better and with weekly updates it can only make the rom better. I have not found any bugs as yet.

No mate he flashes the latest global rom, you can always ask him anyway. A sealed box will come with the stock china rom on it and no play store etc.

8-9 days? Would have ordered from a EU warehouse personally. Honorbuy etc

Don't know how their price compares to others, but they (Honorbuy) are currently quoting $199.99 (that's dollars not pounds! ;)) for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro 3GB RAM 32GB ROM.

Been watching the prices myself this is what I found so far. Still debating if I should buy the redmi note3 pro or just keep on waiting for the nexus

225 euros in honorbuy EU stock and DHL delivery

Most of the EU stock I see adds around 20-30 GBP compared buying from china/Alliexpress (~£150)

Thinking about going Chinese Dual Sim for my next phone.
How does this work with WhatsApp? Can I reliably have multiple accounts on the same phone, don't have to use really dodgy hacks to get it going, or are the dodgy hacks reliable?

Cheers!

Any help?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is dual SIM right?

Having trouble with my wife's new redmi note 3 pro. It works perfectly using the nano sim card in the nan card slot.

But want to use a SD card in it too, so put the sim in an adaptor to move it over to the other sim card slot, wth the SD card in place. It keeps losing signal constantly coming and going sometimes a couple of seconds apart, sometime up to 10-15 seconds. But it also doesn't seem to recognise the SD card is in there.

My phone is set up exactly the same and is working perfectly. Both phones are on the same software version too.

Anyone got any ideas?
