And if your brand new "premium" ROG product does develop a fault even after a few days they'll round robin you someone else's tatty RMA replacement until they either don't have one available and are forced to send a new one or you give up.
Holy Moses the 1080 strix cards are £800 now!!?![]()
Heard a few stories about the shoddy round robin thing but I have been lucky I guess. I did have an Asus Titan fail on me though and that took 6 weeks to get a replacement. Ohhh and my Asus RIVF Mobo's sound failed and I had to get a Sound card but other than that *touch wood* I have been lucky.
Agreed some people won't buy anything but Asus no matter the price. Look at all those people still waiting for the Asus Strix 1080?
I've not had a single Asus board personally that hasn't developed faults/died within a year and they are the highest number of failures for motherboards I've dealt with while doing IT support type stuff either for family/friends or as employment - I've had to RMA my ROG Swift and by some luck got a new one as a replacement after waiting weeks but that one is on its way out now and every single person I know with that monitor IRL has RMA'd atleast once and one poor guy is on his 4th or 5th.

Exactly, makes no sense when you think about it, must be some real die hards with a stiffy for asus products.
Agree...
The PSU for my 27" PG278Q ROG Swift TN died so I bought a new PSU from ebay for it to save the hassle and cost of an RMA
I've been lucky with my Swift... still on the first one and it hasn't shown any issues yet at nearly 2 years old.
I'm not sure why... the Strix cooler is louder than EVGA, Zotac and MSI.

I knew you going do that...Ordered![]()
I seen one review of an end user with the Strix card, temps got upto 88c if he tried any form of overclocking and fans ramped up to jet levels. Yet they still claim "30% cooler and quieter" crap on the box of the card
I got something you no have
The ROG Sheath Mouse Mat - Check

I also bought a Large AUKEY Gaming Mouse Pad ( 900x400x4mm ) just to use while waiting for the asus one to come back in stocklol - 3x more than I usually pay for mouse mats - wonder if its worth the money as I can't fault the Zowie I use.
So there answer to this is to put 9% more ontop of there already massive prices ? i am sorry but i can see this backfiring on them really quickly.[/QUOTE]
Sadly there are probably loads of people who'll just hand over their money :S

So they put a premium on there products and there items like all others have been increasing due to pound/dollar ratio (they also have failed to deliver there 1080 DirectCU III OC Strix and then have tried to trick customers into taking a lesser card so that when stocks do arrive they can make even more profit).
