Do you worry about an attack in London?!

Years ago I used to have to check my car each day for bombs. Initailly it was a bit disconcerting but it soon became routine and you just got on with life. No it doesn't worry me at all.

Not really... there might well be one soon but it isn't something that you should be overly worried about. Probably less worrying than simply getting into a car given that there will likely be many more road deaths before the end of the year.

No I don't worry. I live near London and work in what is probably a target area. There will certainly be an attack at some point. But I can't see any value in worrying about it. I would still have to travel there to work so worry doesn't serve any purpose.

I go through Waterloo a couple of times a week, I do sometimes think about it - but there's nothing I can do, and I'm not going to change my routine to suit these maniacs.

I think it will happen unfortunately, I think it's almost incredible that it's been over 10 years since the last major attack, considering everything that's been going on around us - I have a lot of praise for our counter terrorism forces.... but they won't be perfect, and I fear that eventually - we'll have a big one..

The only thing I've done differently since the Paris attacks is when I'm in a big public gathering, just make a mental note of where the exits routes are. Sort of thing it's sensible to be aware of anyway, regardless of terrorism, I've been caught in a very dangerous crush at a festival before that was just caused by idiots pushing.

Nope. I mean if it happens then it will happen. Not much I can do other than sit at home and don't go out.

I do pray though that we don't get hit by one.

Thankfully it seems like our security forces are more vigilant than other security forces in the world.

So many attacks going on in and around the world, surely it is only a matter of time before someone does some type of attack in London?

Really surprised with all the anti-Muslim hate spewing from the tabloid media over the past decade that we have not had any large attack.

It does play on my mind a fair bit does anyone else feel the same?:confused::(

You are twice as likely to be hit on the head by meteorite as being hurt in one of these incidents.

sad times not even safe in our own homes .:(

 What do you have in your house?

 What do you have in your house?

bathtub.

It sits there lying in wait, tempting you to step into it's slippery foam covered depths, for that day you slip snd crack your head on the side before slipping slowly beneath the suds.

Or your boiler tank, a giant copper cylinder filled with bpiling water inser pressure...by the way when was the last time you checked your emergancy pressure relase valve?

If any other religion based terror group were causing so many deaths they would get hate too. Islamic extremists are basing their attacks from extreme interpretations of their Holy Book.

I live and work in London and yes it does cross my mind more often nowadays. Sad times.

The attack on the Bataclan in Paris really gets to me. I'm a big music fan and all those poor people were just out enjoying themselves. I love going to gigs and to be perfectly honest I see something like that as the 'easiest' target. Some random club in Camden etc. Not good :(

But alas, we will carry on regardless. Can't let it stop you getting out and living your life.

No you have one radical element of one branch of Islam. Did the tabloids scream about the evils of Christianity during the IRA campaign in this country?
Why not there were two religious elements in that conflict.

I don't think London is the only vulnerable place in the UK, there are plenty of soft targets all over the country. If you worry about it the terrorist are winning.

As I was walking around a packed with tourists Stratford on Avon yesterday I was thinking exactly the same thing. No point worrying about it.

I don't worry as they will run out of suicide bombers at some point as you can only blow yourself up once.
