Do you worry about an attack in London?!

NHS cuts have killed more than suicide bombers could ever hope to.

Honestly though, I'm more worried about certain members of this forum being pushed over the edge and going on a keyboard-wielding rampage than I am about terrorist attacks.

Terrorism isn't real. The fear of terrorism was created by western governments and big families (Bush family for example) to justify wars with other peacefull oil rich countries, like Syria and Iran.
They rely on us being scared.

LOL Syria, Iraq... peaceful? What have you been smoking?

Live and work in the city, don't worry about it on a day to day basis. The day after the tube/bus bombings was a sweaty commute I will admit. I fear for my daughter though, and do think twice about taking her anywhere during rush hour on public transport, which I know is irrational...

A bigger threat to us and our children is the slide in civic values, both from medieval minded newcomers and the feckless masses already here

We've a big one as well:

1993, IRA’s Bishopsgate bomb, luckily it was on a Saturday morning.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Seriously, put the crack pipe down son, that's enough.

I'm not scared at all. I work in a fantastic spot for a terrorist attack too. Life gonna life, just get on with it. Besides, I'm a South African so being able to walk around without someone sticking an AK47 in my face is quite pleasurable :D

do you worry about being run over or tripping on an eneven paving stone and smashing your skull on the pavement, or an aneurysm

you can be struck down in any number of ways...why go through life terrified of living

I think it's only a matter of time until we see something happen in London.

However, I'll be damned if I let that possibility affect my enjoyment of the City!

and as somebody has already said....London, Birmingham, Manchester, they are targets

if you live in Oban it probably never ever crosses your mind

I live in a place most english people couldnt point to on a map let alone a person intent on multiple killings, so I dont really worry about islamic terrorism

The fact that mass media organisations propagate terror to an exponentially larger audience, with a much larger scope and much deeper milking of emotion than any terrorist could possibly achieve on his own, is a fact of fundamental importance. And a fact which most people seem to not care about simply because they're "getting news" in the process.

I think I've said this over 5 years ago: Media is devastating humanity. People don't understand how utterly devastating it is.

About a month ago I noticed the BBC made a graphic/posters which said "kill white police officers". I had to pause the TiVo because my eyes actually started welling up within about 5 seconds and I sat for almost an hour staring at the paused TiVo screen and the four most terrifying words I've ever seen plastered on a news broadcast.

I am not worried about terror and I am glad most people aren't. I worry about how terror is used, and that is what you should worry about.
