Suicide Squad (2016)

I still think the trailers are pretty awful but I'll still see the film as I think it'll be good regardless of them.
 
I love how models suddenly think they can act just because they're on a catwalk...Only thing she's known for is her eyebrows and ability to look male.
 
Predictably, Leto’s process got weird fast. He started watching footage of actual violent crimes on YouTube, until he had to stop himself. “The Joker is incredibly comfortable with acts of violence,” says Leto. “I was watching real violence, consuming that. There’s a lot you can learn from seeing it. Not every act of violence is committed with frenzy, either. I remember learning that. People can be calm. They’ve made their choice and go and do something, and it’s not in a frenzy.” His eyes have gone cold. “It’s methodical and sometimes even hypnotic and deliberate.”

Sounds like Leto needs help, and working with him must be a nightmare, even more than Wesley Snipes :)

I heard he played tricks on the other actors repeatedly and the only one who didn't like it was the woman playing Waller. #methodacting.
 
Hhhhm the first set of reviews (YouTube) seemed to say it was a good watch with some flaws and definitely better than Mos and BvS. Just seeing a round up of the papers and press who are a lot more stinging. I am still going to watch it, BvS was OK/meh - I can't see this being worse.
 
Well it's being roundly butchered apart from a randomly brilliant Empire review. I'll certainly still be seeing it but it will be sad if it is bad, if it is it will be another indication that for all the brilliance of DC Comics they are largely **** at converting that to big screen.

I don't get the hate most people seem to have for BvS, I've only seen the extended version but thought it was fine, MoS on the other hand I thought was rubbish.

I'll definitely see SS but will wait for the disc release and go into it with low expectations hoping to be pleasantly surprised as I was with BvS.
 
Have tickets booked for this Friday. If I manage not to physically punch the image of Will Smith on the IMAX screen I will consider it a success.
 
Look forward to peoples thoughts, for some reason my local Cineworld has decided to make most of the 3D showings 4DX only. Not a chance Im paying that for what seems a standard DC attempt at a movie...

Ouch, the reviews are in and this movie looks like another BvS. It's not just Empire, I think it was forbes that said it was worse than green lantern and fantastic four. And apparently jared letos performance is naff.

I won't be buying a ticket.

Which is a real shame as the animated DC movies are superb. Don't know how they get the live action ones so very wrong :(
