The police have said both angles are being explored. (not Muslims but terrorism which at the moment in this country is largely derived from Islamic teachings)

Bears all the hallmarks of a terror attack I'm afraid -very similar to the Palestinian knife attacks we've seen in Israel. The fact that the Met are so keen to downplay it as a terrorism incident makes me think it's quite likely that it is. RIP to the victim

At a guess they've possibly not had the time to be confident whether it was or wasn't a solitary case, so they're playing it safe. Having more officers on the streets costs money but in the grand sheme of things it's harmless if they're unneccesary.

I'd be seriously questioning the police if they didn't show a heavy hand after something like this, particularly after recent events in France and Belgium.

Nice to see that even with armed police all over the scene their first response wasn't to shoot him and used a taser instead.

By that fact alone though I would say the assessment of the person wasn't some suicide vest wearing terrorist - even if he does turn out to be of the coloured persuasion.
