eBay seller asking for more money for delivery

The seller didn't even have anyone else interested in the item. He has it up for a bottom price + shipping which the OP has paid. It's not up to the OP to work out how much it'd cost to ship. And please tell me anyone who's ever bid on something who's thought "Oh that shipping is a bit low, maybe I should offer to go halves."

Actually, scrolling through the list of complete auctions for cricket bags the postage can be betwen free, 2 or 4 or 6 or up to 10 quid.

So at end of the day he listed it for 4.80 then just say well loads of completed listings also offer that as postage too so just post it to me and dont ask for more. That, or just get refund and dont deal with him again as theres loads of bags thats not much money on ebay.

Ah k.

No cheaper brands thats as good like similar size and wheels?

But in the end, honestly, gluck with it all, hope you get it sorted. :)

i thought postage was separate from fees nowadays ? hence stopping the scams ? Or is it included now... to stop the scams #? :P

Nah, the selling price and postage are now combined to calculate the final value fees to stop people avoiding fees by selling items for pennies but charging £50 postage.

I'd respond with "it looks like you made an honest mistake, so I'd be happy to pay the £14.80. unfortunately I also made a mistake and put a '4' in front of my bid, it should have been £9.99, not £49.99, but I'm sure you understand how easy it is to do!"

She sent me another message asking if I'd like a refund. I said no and I'd like the bag delivered. Now I get this

Hahaha

He needs weeks to make up £5.27? Maybe don't go buying £80 cricket bags if you're that skint, jesus.

If you still want it, then I would offer to pay half of the difference. Could be a genuine mistake...

Tell him to refund you the postage and you will organize a courier yourself once he has given you the dimension.

If you go through the dialogue she goes from 'I didn't realise it would cost so much' to 'It should be £14.80 I missed a 1 when listing it'

Not buying it one iota and it's them trying to claw more money back

Perhaps, guess it depends how much you want your purchase though?

I don't know about you but when I put something up on eBay I keep checking on it throughout the time it's up, so surely they'd find the mistake in that time and correct it?
