Brexit thread - what happens next

The longer we drag this on, we hurt the EU, i hope we begin A50 right before the French or German Elections to really drag the dirt.

The longer this drags on the more it hurts all parties because of the uncertainty. It's definitely important that we find out sooner rather than later what the exit terms are going to be.

But rushing has it's own risks. The UK just isn't prepared for what's ahead, not politically, institutionally, economically or socially. Despite being lukewarm throughout most of our membership, the UK is still woven deep into the fabric of Europe whether 52% of the population like it or not, and whether the rest of Europe would just like to see us gone ASAP or not.

Sounds like a hollow plea from a desperate Brexiteer to me. Beginning to panic we might not be as 'out' as you imagined 'out' to be are we? ;)

You can always smell when fudge is being made (a most distinctive smell) and I can smell fudge right now. :D

If you don't vote then you don't count.

Something this large deserved a total population % finishing line number higher than 37%, that is what i mean.

There should have been a clearer victory needed for change, because this change on these results just divide us, and this sucks. We are a divided, then divided again country.

Obviously if you don't vote, then you have no vote to count. But, even if you dont' vote, you still count. Everyone counts.

You seem to be in a delusional phase

1. The Pound is down 10%+ Fact
2. People travelling abroad were getting less than 1Euro for their pound at Gatwick last week Fact

3. Were you saying the FT was lying when it said the City was trying to get bespoke deals now that the EU Passporting will be dead?

4. Are you delusional enough to claim that if the Banks go to Paris/Frankfurt and we loose there taxes we will not face economic chaos?

Judging by your posts you seem to ignore facts, and prefer to believe fantasies like the NHS will get £350million extra a week. It's called reality, bad things do happen and to believe in fantasies and/or pretending they do not happen will not help.

ok, the bus said " we send the EU £350 million a week, lets fund our NHS instead" now where does it say the all of the £350m would go to the NHS.

Banks will not go to Paris Frankfurt, they will stay in the UK, the UK will become a satellite access nations into the European Market. The Germans will invest even more knowing that Britain will do free trade and it will be back door to the rest of the world.

Putting 'fact' at the end of each sentence does you no favours.

Like expert opinions, facts are terribly inconvenient to your views.

I don't think you need to be as frightened as you clearly are though.

I am not frightened. I am comfortably off and any downturn caused by this self inflicted mayhem will not affect me or indeed any of my wider family but I do realise that there are others who are not in the same position and will be badly affected. You are confusing concern for others with being frightened

You are remarkably emotional about something that apparently won't affect you despite pending financial apocalypse in your view.

Using your logic, less than a third of the population are committed to remain.

Yes, another third voted remain.

But that is math, not my logic.

Going by my logic (I'm sure I wrote this already) a higher % should be needed for something so very large. For either 'side' to win.

Because all we have now is a doubly divided country.

The logic here is referring to your lack of understanding of the rules of the referendum.

Rules which you now seem to want to change.
