*** Battlefield 1 ***

Nope. Don't feel mugged at all.

Looking forward to the beta.

This has a 1942 feel to it and that was epic. So I can see this being awesome.

Have to say, of all the BF games I've played over the last 15 years, BF1942 is still the best I've played. No unlocks, relatively few weapons which aids in balance, great maps and loved the aircraft, tanks and ships. Being able to sail the ships around and have ship to ship and ship to shore combat was brilliant.

Yeah mate.

I really enjoyed Vietnam and BF2 as well.

BC2 was good fun too.

After that they kinda lost the old battlefield soul if you know what I mean (although I still put plenty of hours in them still).

Grow up, the splitting up of the community and pricing is a genuine concern to a lot of people.

Pricing of the £104 deluxe edition is only a concern to those who have a point to make.

As already pointed out, anybody with any sense buys the game on its own from a CD keys site. This will be about £30-£35.

You can then quite happily play the game for several months before the first expansion packs come out, hear the details, listen to the hype, and event wait for release and others to show you the maps / vehicles / weapons etc.. you get for your money and make your own mind up, and possibly buy the expansion on its own, or buy premium from a Key site for about £30 again.

Seriously, nobodoy but a mug pays £105. The pricing of this game is no different to any other that has the option of a season pass for DLC.

Sounds like a good mix :D bit of bf in the day and some civ to chill out playing before sleeping :D

Good tactic, it can be difficult to sleep when Battlefield is still in your head :D I keep on wanting to get into Civ, however the length of games puts me off it.

I hope they fix the jumping round the corner bug for BF1, you can clearly see the guy using it in the hardcore criticism video a couple of pages back. I know they are only taking advantage of the game mechanics however it turns engagements round corners into a joke.

Console owners ;)

It is also a concern for many other people who don't use key sites or take trips to Mexico / China.

£105 is not an issue for me as I am comfortable paying out for games I really enjoy. Hell I spent about £500 on CSGO (but made around 2.5k pure profit back) and put maybe £400 into War Thunder because I am in the position too.

The biggest problem I have with that price is not the cost itself, but rather paying extra to become part of a split community.

So do horses set on fire and auto destruct once you dismount from them?
Can you use a repair tool on a horse?
Are horses upgradable?
How do you repair a damaged horse without pulling a shotgun to their head?
Can you have horse classes?
Will running over someone whilst on a horse be classed as a roadkill?
Can you add clan emblems to a horse?
Will there be dinasours?

Lol there is a horse class

Take a look at @Battlefield's Tweet:

Yup, thats the plan, some fast paced reaction gaming with the missus with BF1, then in the evening, some slow cerebral gaming with the missus and some booze with Civ 6. Going to be a great weekend :D

I agree. I've never paid more than £60 for a battlefield game plus premium. Considering how many hundreds of hours I get out of it, I see it as good value for money.
