Hull Confirm Manchester United Youngster

Hull City have this last hour confirmed the speculation suggesting we were bringing in Manchester United youngster James Weir.

The 21 year old midfielder comes in for an undisclosed fee having made his way through United's Academy set up - skippering their Under 21 development squad last season - and he has signed a three year deal at the KCOM Stadium.

He made his senior United bow last season under Louis van Gaal as a substitute in their three two victory over Arsenal and featured on the bench a number of times.

He's also an England Under 16, 18 and 19 international.

We have had the scousers eyes out over this transfer window! wijnaldum to Liverpool, £25m for a player that only performs at home in 1 in 4 games and sissoko to Everton, £30m for someone who only plays when the sky cameras are on him, even dick Turpin wore a mask hahaha

Yup, just don't get it, for a 'good' euros, he ran forward well but his end product sucked. A euros in which he got no goals or assists following several years in which he only shows up to some games but is mostly the same. Except for his starting form in the first 6 months for Newcastle when he looked more deadly, he's not looked like a 10mil or more player, 30mil is a joke.

To me, Wijnaldum never really showed anything either, he's okay, but 25mil and as yet he's seem thoroughly disappointing for Liverpool. How Newcastle is getting this much I don't know. So many other better alternatives, clubs should be telling Newcastle to do one, sticking them with Sissoko performing badly and buying a player who is actually good value.

What the hell is it with the British press / Football pundits and Jack Wilshire?

Seriously, the longer he's out injured the better he gets , Chris Sutton is talking like Wilshire is the great white hope.

He's an incredibly overrated player, who's injury plagued, and would struggle to get near that Arsenal midfield.

Valencia to Everton. What happened to that guy they signed for a club record? Mad, he's completely disappeared. Niasse or something..

yet end of last season when he came in he was fantastic again. In form and fit he is significantly better than Ramsey, Coquelin, Elneny, etc, he played a full season at DM for us when he first came back from Bolton and was the best DM we've had(still) since Gilberto, he's also fully capable of playing further forward and has been involved in some of our best attacking moments but he's almost never played further forward for us. He's usually part of a deeper midfield and was mostly played that way for England as well.

he isn't over rated in the slightest, he's a genuinely excellent player who can never stay fit. What will be interesting is if he can stay fit playing for a team other than Arsenal, as in will a different team manage his fitness much better and keep him playing.

He's the type of player you always wonder if injuries are actually a cover story for other problems. Has always been highly rated but hasn't come close to living up to the hype.

Ha, the worst kept secret in football about Jack Wilshire, but the one nobody writes about for fear of litigation.

sissoko is a spurs player

deal sheet signed to get it through

bloody hell i think this could be money down the drain
