Is HM easier now with higher light? Don't wanna stuck on the doofus for hours :)

As above it is easier....sort of. Everything is easy up to the Sisters and Oryx as DPS is no longer a problem. However the mechanics of the fight are still an issue as if 1 person goes down it is hard to recover. So you still need a perfect run, it is just easier to get the perfect run.

I'm only ~318. Hope I don't get rekt

I think the first time most of us did HM we were only around 312-314 or thereabouts so you should be fine. Also the earlier boss fights are lower and with a couple of good drops should see you over 320 ready for Oryx. DPS shouldn't be a problem but thinking a head, if you take the second plate then you would always have help from first or third plate to take down your Ogre.

How does the new drop system work then...if I'm going in at 323 light, will drops be :

323-327
or
323-335?

I think it is up to 5 above your current level so you should see drops 323-327.

IIRC on our first HM clear only myself and Corey were 312+ (I was 312 and he was 313 =IIRC). I had sacrificed everything higher than 310 from my other characters thanks to the non 1:1 infusion which existed back then.
I think you were 310 and everyone else was 307 (Moe*) to 310.

It was a tough fight but we got him down in the end.

*I recall Moe had issues if we didn't clear the Ogre's fast enough as he would get blasted trying to get to the relic. I also recall that the Ogres were a right pain to kill as well!

Now DPS isn't an issue it is just everything else about the fight!

Yeah I was 307, only difficult part was how much damage you took but I used a helm that started health regen on orb pick up that helped a lot of running the relic, just had too plan a path ahead of time.

A lot of stuff drops so you can upgrade gear as you go along and hopefully boost your light level. If you maybe do a few Lv3 court you should get a artifact thats +5 your light level. Also exotic decrpty at up to +5 your light level and is an easy way to level up if you have a stock pile.

Hard mode is fairly easy these days guys if you're doing the 16 orb strategy.

For those that don't know the drill you need 1 hunter with tether and 1 defender titan with armour of light, then:

1. Hunter tethers adds at the start to generate orbs.
2. 3 people and the runner go to their platforms while the titan and 1 other remain in the middle.
3. The runner starts his run while the titan pops a bubble and the two guys in the middle take out the ogres plus the 4th knight. The only job of the guys on the platforms is to DPS their ogre then shoot their knight (and not die). Platform guys go to the middle once the runner tells them he has the relic.
4. Runner grabs the vessel's shield and everyone kills the mofo.
5. Stagger Oryx.
6. Kill any adds that can shoot at you but leave the thrall alive.
7. When it says Oryx has regained his mojo at the bottom of the screen the hunter tethers the adds to make orbs for the titan.
8. Everyone gets sucked into the other area to kill Oryx's shade while anyone outside prevents adds from getting in.
9. Repeat x3 but on the 4th run detonate all 16 orbs after staggering Oryx.
10. Run up to him and shoot him into space.
11. Pick up all the 334 loot and modering shards.

Or endless Wormspore if you're really lucky!

eughhh, typical. I'd love to join in a raid (my first one), but it's my wife's birthday tomorrow. If I spend the evening playing Destiny, I'll suddenly find myself with a lot more time to play Destiny - wait a minute....

Thanks, I thought would have up-scaled with the update. I remember doing it first time with our team all around 310, so it will be fine :)

Logged in last night....I have sooo much stuff even using DIM I couldn't sort it all out

Edit: A lot of my gear is already min/maxed raid and ToO, I may aswell just infuse any new 320+ gear into my existing stuff as Chroma was the only new armour change?

Gonna be infusing my NM gear as usual :)

Will be on from around 6 UK time, for Nightfalls/CoE whenever people are about, and then raid when Greboth gets on.

Got a couple of crucible quests to do for triumphs too, think I need one more win in a fireteam...

Should be on around 6pm too, up for a nightfall and CoE. I'm just missing return to the reef and challenge of elders for the triumphs, but can probs help you out with PvP

The desirable stats are Intellect & Discipline, preferably with high rolls. After that its down to the perks and the weapon types you prefer. So if you prefer scout rifles like mida, you'll prefer scout rifle ammo and scout rifle reload time. For boots you usually want your choice of machine gun ammo or rocket launcher ammo, again with high intellect discipline. You can use the ishtar commander app or similar to check out what % of the maximum roll your armor has. Destiny item manager for chrome is also very good too and easier to use with a big screen.

Actually, just looked at the length of the crucible quest chain I've got left.....cba with that :)
