Did anyone see the playstation 4 gameplay video? i play on pc i think they have done a good job getting it to look as good as it does on console hopefully the pc will get decent optimizations from it but that fov would drive me mad haha.

Oh blimey.. no idea mate. Might pick it up again now I've seen this thread tbh. Never even built a base. Just looted a house and stayed put.

Edit: The last time I remember playing is when it got a graphics overhaul.

we bought it in the steam sale recently, so just getting into it. the next alpha release (15) is due out v soon.

good game, time flys by when your playing it too.

only annoying thing is the radiation zone, which has divided me and my mate on the map, and at the moment I cant see anyway through or around it :(

I have 479 hours on steam :O I mainly play single player though. Each major update also normally means you have to start again as the game glitches and is unplayable. I stopped playing about 6 weeks ago, I think it was on Alpha 14.3. I didn't know about the radiation zone, but I found lots of Hazmat suit trousers and boots IIRC. Maybe they help you cross it?

I stopped playing a few months back, will get back to it at some point but was mainly single player, base building or 'castle' defence style with the locals.

I had fun building a big hole in the ground and making a base in it. The main problem for me was the lack of difficulty after a while, once you get set up properly the zombie hordes are pretty trivial to deal with.

yeah i play on insane difficulty with max spawns 20% loot no air drops i still die now and then mostly from stun and a group of them haha really fun and challenging in the beginning but it does get rather easy later on

Love this game with my mate on co-op. We normally have them on always run and insane but it's s a lot of fun especially with valmod or steel mod which adds more craftables.

Only done 940 hours though so call me a novice ;)

I have been playing recently after my brother and his mate convinced me to get it and am loving it so far. Having never got into minecraft I am really enjoying the building bases and crafting.

I tend to lose track of time though and suddenly its 4am irl

EDIT: New base I built on my sp game today.

Whats the best things to level up? Quality joe and scavenging?

yeah i never played minecraft either, just didn't seem like my cup of tea. I just love trying to survive and the atmosphere when your hiding in a building and it's dark and your sensed hoping you can make it till morning then they start breaking in and you try to barricade yourself in with what you have around you haha priceless. Looking good:)

Yeah same, first 7 days I crapped myself as I suddenly realised it was getting near to night and i had no base. I swam to one of them huts on the water and blocked off the door with a little camp fire going. Then suddenly heard the horde attacking the supports under water and was sat there all night hoping the building doesnt collapse as I had a loads of stuff on me i'd been collecting.

BTW huts on the water isnt a good idea as my fps also went down to like 3 due to all the zombles in one place. Not sure if it was just down to the game being run from a friends pc though.

I'm surprised this game isnt more popular. I expected a big thread on here to have a read through.

This game is awesome. I made a little base on top of a store that was half way between my actual base and a good looting spot, so i could loot for longer before heading back at night. Well I was sat in my little cabin thinking I was safe on the roof and then this happened...

Thought I was safe on top of a building so couldnt believe it when it all caved in. Tried to make a run for it but there were too many of them and my leg was broken.

At the moment i'm trying to find the tools for the forge but not had any luck. Went to a tool store that a few videos on Youtube point to as being a good spot to find them but just found iron spades and picks.

Damn haha at least it wasn't your main base. Yeah tool stores are a good place to find them also the water treatment plants are really good for them i've found and the snow lumber mill worker zombies sometimes drop them and i believe the radio tower poi has tool crates in them.

Hmm, I didnt even know there were frozen lumberjack zombies, have yet to encounter them. Looks like I have a bit more exploring to do, thanks :).

Anyone have problems with lag / high ping in this game?

I'm hosting a game and my brother joins but his ping is super high sometimes (upto 55000).
If he hosts then I get massive lag when I join him...

The game is pretty much unplayable because of this. :/
