PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Been a mostly console player all my life (odd bit of PC gaming) but I think I might just throw some money at a new GPU and ultrawide monitor to be honest. (yes it'll cost much more)

Unless what I see in person is genuinely impressive I just feel a bit underwhelmed.

I do think they've nailed a decent price though, and it'll probably sell well.

The specs are the same as they were when leaked in March -

why does the PS4 standard have Polaris architecture?

It's obvious now MS forced Sonys hand to release it early. More than likely the Scropio will be more powerful but probably not by much.

Just to clarify, they use HDR in the PS4, the same way as I use HDR on Nvidia's Control Panel to upscale from 1440p to 4K?

For example. Apart from that what else is there? I was eating dinner. Looks good for a first time console buyer though.

Nice. Same compute power as a 980TI alledgedly? Any official claims on what its packing inside? £350 seems like mental value!

Not going to upgrade just yet I don't think, not even sure I will when I get a 4K tv unless this has a 4K Blu Ray drive....

However, if it does have one, it'll almost be a no brainer to go with a 4K tv!

It would be great if it did have one. I remember when Blu-Ray was coming to fruition, it was cheaper to buy an original PS3 than a standalone Blu-Ray player at one point! :D
