Yeah, me too, I was rather impressed with the showing. Got a new 4K TV with HDR earlier this year and was looking at getting a PS4 so the PS4 Pro for a reasonable £349 is ideal.

Been a mostly console player all my life (odd bit of PC gaming) but I think I might just throw some money at a new GPU and ultrawide monitor to be honest. (yes it'll cost much more)
Unless what I see in person is genuinely impressive I just feel a bit underwhelmed.
I do think they've nailed a decent price though, and it'll probably sell well.

why does the PS4 standard have Polaris architecture?

I missed that bit. 4K machine without a drive to play 4K content other then via streaming services?
I must admit, if you haven't got a 4K tv anyhow, I don't see the need to get this if you have a Ps4 already.

Just to clarify, they use HDR in the PS4, the same way as I use HDR on Nvidia's Control Panel to upscale from 1440p to 4K?

You can replace the hard drive unlike the Xbone so they don't really need to add bigger ones as it adds to the price.

Take my money now
It's a finer blue laser a normal blu ray drive cannot read the larger 100gb+ discs.

Not going to upgrade just yet I don't think, not even sure I will when I get a 4K tv unless this has a 4K Blu Ray drive....
However, if it does have one, it'll almost be a no brainer to go with a 4K tv!
