Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 14th September 2016]

Thankfully I have it on mute but you knew that was coming. Neville with the PL crosses comment, too. It's almost as if he's forgotten that he tried to relegate one of Spain's biggest clubs less than a year ago.

Stones was the one at fault for the goal anyway.

Holy **** just heard the 'Its a premier league cross' comment LOL. What a bell

BBC commentary are saying its more about the angle of the camera and there is nothing actually in it......

There wasn't at all, Neville had replay of all angles, one is clearly both players lunging in, Rooney was slightly later to the ball, Bravo's foot was side on both getting the ball with the side of his foot and making contact with Rooney with the side of his foot. So Neville says it was studs up and late thus could have been red.

Rooney was later, jumped just as much and made a meal of the contact. He was mid air and their ankle/areas clashed but it was pretty light due to being in the air and both doing exactly the same thing.

Never a penalty or a red, terrible touch and needless to put himself in that position but he did nothing differently to Rooney except he won the ball.

Looked to me like he went studs first into Rooney's shin.

He got the ball first so it depends how you look at it. I suspect if it was in midfield the outcome would be different, dangerous play etc.

As it was in the box, as usual some rules do not apply.

DM has it right, had Rooney got the ball first and followed through you wouldn't expected a foul either. 50/50 and Rooney lost so tried to make a meal of it

Both players went for it to be fair, Bravo got there first and then clattered Rooney. That's never a pen when that happens.

This.

Did a Utd player not rugby tackle a City player, the ref played on but then he never came back to do anything about it? He literally lost the ball was wrong side so put two arms around the City players waist and flopped down taking him with him... most blatant cynical attempt to stop someone breaking possible.
