WW3- what do you think?

Just been reading up about the various incidents which almost caused war, in 1962, 1983, and at various points between and since.

Scary... :(

It's one of the focusses of thw excellent German series Deutschland 83. If you haven't already seen it then it's absolutely worth a watch (subtitled).

I believe there will be a WW3,Especially with everything thats going on around the world at the moment.

My concern is the likes of ISIS getting their hands on a Nuclear bomb or something,Because they're cowards. :/

ISIS + Nuke won't cause WW3 unless they hit say a Russian target and proof came out that it was directly sanctioned by the US or something.

Why are they cowards if they get a nuclear bomb?

I look forward to ww3. My bunker is well stocked. My mandarin and Russian are both good.

Um I'm at like 1.5 out of 3 on that - I don't know a word of Mandarin and my Russian is pretty basic.

Possibly as world events so far look so much like 1938 and the Spanish civil war. I don't think the world could afford a WW3 though and if it did happen I think some idiot nation that loses the war would start dropping nukes.

Nuclear weapons put a stop to potential world wars, and I believe they will continue to do so for many life times. Countries haven't grown up, its more a matter of your neighbours having the power to say destroy London / New York / Moscow etc with a push of a button, it tends to keep them on a shorter leash.

Lots of posturing and small conflicts but a WW would devastate the modern world leaving no actual victor.

Yes it will happen, when the global elite decide the general population are beginning to wake up and/or we as a species realize we are the only ones who pay money to live on Earth. WW3 will either be when humanity decides a different route is needed, the abolition of money, or it is when the population will become further locked down as a result of it.

Matt Damon here explains how the NWO generally works.

When the economy takes a hit governments often change the subject to divert attention to something else.

lets hope that is the case

I wouldn't worry about it, only the major cities will be nuked

Not sure what current UK targets are but while the Soviet era ones were largely military, transport and population centres there wouldn't be many people who weren't significantly affected by it - power stations, water treatment, civilian transport and manufacturing, etc. can all be targets.

While largely it would probably be 200kt-3mt devices this would be the view 20 seconds after the detonation of a 100mt device over London if you were in a field 100 miles away :S

Wasn't there some document on the Russian doctrine for their first strike released from Ukraine a while ago? Basically Britain more or less left untouched in the hope no retaliation to come from here. However, the Germans were stuffed.

Horrible things, would be great if they could all be gotten rid of. But most countries would hold onto an arsenal while they thought others might be keeping some back too.
Also why it's very important there's no more proliferation of them around the world. The excuse of we have them, why shouldn't they just doesn't matter. More nukes = bad. One of the few political arguments that for me is black and white.

We're past the stage of World Wars, the weaponry we have available is too potent for it to happen.

Superpowers will just continue fighting proxy wars across the globe as they have been for decades. Nothing to see here.

Yeah thats the problem - also the whole balancing act - without the ability to instantly remove all nukes you don't want either situation where those in existence are concentrated in a small number of entities which makes them very powerful or a situation with mass proliferation.
