What should the OP do?

It's unlikely you'll be able to "have a word" and they'll just mention to the driver to be more careful. Dealerships tend to take things like this very seriously, so they'll almost certainly ask for the footage and the guy will be in a lot of trouble.

Personally I wouldn't do anything - tbh his driving was better than the majority of Golf Rs I see driving around :p

OP's Golf R got spanked by a Fezza :p it had to be an ST to even pull like that surely. In all seriousness 100% report him OP that's out of order doing nearly twice the speed limit.!

TBH, its a meh fest from me.

Just say look he was speeding a little, No worries but if I get tickets they are coming your way.

You won't get tickets though lets be honest

Report him to the dealership and also the footage to the police for the Fiesta too.

LOL @ music - what a pile of you know what

Impressed with quality of footage tho :)

I would report personally, with a view to not taking it further. This would remove my confidence in the dealership of providing this service in future if left.

I'm of half a mind. Tempted to pass it on to the dealership saying "Let him know to be a bit more careful next time", you never know when a copper is round the corner with a speed gun.

Other than that though, I don't think I'd class that as ragging a car. It's not like he's burnt out the clutch or drifted sideways round corners.

I'd say have a chat with the dealer and say just mention that you'd like your car to be driven properly if it needs to be test driven.

Explain that there has been some silly driving found on the dash cam but don't go into too much detail.

if said person simply has a word with his manager I think that'll stop them from doing it again.

Pretty lame video to be honest. Report them for breaking speed limits in your vehicle just in case you've been picked up on camera but don't expect more than that.

I would just leave it unless there was a NIP in the post personally.

I wouldn't have classed that as ragged. And it's potentially nothing I wouldn't have done myself (well, maybe slightly faster on occasion), but nothing I'd be overly worried about. It's a Golf R, perfectly capable of such acceleration.

Obviously keep the video in case something needs proved further down the line though.

This was nearly two months ago, why have you taken this long to get outraged by it?

He was a little spirited sometimes yes, I would probably have a quiet word with the service manager and see what they have to say about it, I wouldn't go straight to the police.

He did 78mpg in a 40mpg, in all intends and purposes he broke the law using the OP's car, twice.

We have miles per gallon areas now?

Oil must be running low.
