Do Space Aliens really exist?

There's some strong jealousy you have there.

Jealous of what? He just a propaganda mouth piece for the BBC.
The BBC asks him to jump he says "How high"

On topic.........

If you look at an ocean from 200 feet you see no life, if you look at the ocean at 0 ft you might see life. If you enter the ocean you will see it teaming with life.

Point is! We need a bigger telescope. :D

Good point! Just because we haven't detected aliens doesn't mean they don't exist or are unaware of us. Perhaps they have a 'prime directive,' like Star Trek, which forbids them from making contact with species like us!

You are going have to explain that

Global warming is bull hit and we all know it, yet he promotes the theory of global warming as gospel.

Global warming is bull as it has happened for millennia no matter what was on the earth at the time.

A fart in a cathedral is what human global warming is.

^^^Not on topic I know. ;)

I also think it's bull but there will be 1000s on here who don't so I don't see your point.
He makes documentaries which I fully enjoy, whether I want to believe them or not is another matter.
No doubt you will find other scientists who have done documentaries on the BBC that don't agree with him.

I don't watch television anymore am afraid, have not done in a long time.

I see clips and bits and sometimes watch iPlayer, but never sit and watch the **** TV churns out day in and day out.

He does not make documentaries, his researchers do who are paid by the BBC to publish the information the BBC finds acceptable.

But each to there own I guess. ;)

I have a question probably my last one for the night.........

If you were immortal and met a mortal being, would time be more important to you? Than before you met that mortal being?

Or if you were immortal would you even think about time?

Time is the paradox. ;)

Doesn't this type of thread pop up about once every 18months.

We are not alone in the Universe, its pretty much a guarantee. As itchy says and to take another step onwards: If earth can support 1million-100million species... What can a universe contain?

Global warming is true. It is a natural process of respiration. The planet naturally warms and cools in a cycle. What's also true though is that we, as a global society, have accelerated that process and also failed to recognise and plan for the changes that will happen as a result of this process.

Also, despite the humongous odds, it's possible that we are alone in the universe. The odds of winning the lottery are extremely poor, but still people win. The more I look at the very, very specific conditions that were necessary for the inception of life on this planet, the more I wonder if we are indeed some special kind of *********.

Wouldn't it be amazing if that was true?

Nope wrong!

A single violent volcano eruption can regurgitate more Co2 than humans have in the past 100 years. ;)

Its just the cycle of the planets life, it warms and cools as the tectonic plates breath so to say.
We not the only planet in the solar system and we all at tug of war with mavity. :p

Global warming is global money making.

If you don't watch TV with him in it how would you know?
Unbelievable.

Wrong end of stick mate. :p

I might have come across a little convoluted I do apologize. ;)

I have seen him on TV and watched iPlayer with him presenting, but he comes across as a condescending little ****.

But Mr Cox is not the topic.

Can I ask you personally? If you were immortal would time bother you?

I think you misunderstood me. I agree with you 100% but you can't deny that human activity hasn't accelerated the natural process. If we hadn't have evolved, it would still have happened but we have definitely had an impact on the carbon cycle.

As I said before " A fart in cathedral is what we humans are". :D

Just Google earth and see how much of the land mass of the planet is occupied, that might give you a little perspective. ;)

Global warming is not true? Unfortunately it is real. All you have to do is use logic and reason to come to the conclusion that humans are having an impact on the planet. The planet has had a natural warming and cooling for millions of years but the warming part of the cycles is rising at a much faster rate than ever before. Will we destroy the planet? No, of course not, the planet isn't just going to suddenly die, it will evolve and adapt. But what will happen, is, we have to dramatically change our way of living to accommodate it, say goodbye to coastal cities, it won't be over night but it's still at a point where people need to stop believing it isn't true and just sticking their fingers in their ears because they don't want to feel bad or something. It's happening, the better people get on board with that, the better we can leave the planet for our grand children..

Oh dear, it's unfortunately these type of website that leads people adrift, why not look at the 100's of credible sources? When people say global warming, they mean everything...greenhouse gases, temperatures, ocean acidification, weather extremes. Google is your friend, just check out what paleoclimatologists have to say on the matter. I can't believe the world is still having this debate. crazy!

Nope, you're wrong. Just like with time doesn't exist. Scientific American are pretty reliable, i'll take their word over some tin foil hat wearing bum in a basement.

Out of curiosity, do you believe the moon landings were fake?
