I did hear a rumour that if they get over 100k likes on the facebook page they will cancel the trident program.

No doubt it will be all the unwashed who turn up thinking they're changing the world and standing up to the government.

Anyone care to explain how this will create positive change? I'm struggling.

I just used up all my Facebook likes curing cancer :(

Dunno people get so funny about voting (or people not voting) but last election I had the choice of something like:

-Bad choice
-Bad choice
-Terrible choice
-Sort of ok but tactically a vote for them was effectively voting for the opposite
-Not a party I could vote for in good conscious
-Close to my views but a couple of aspects that go completely against the principles I stand for so I couldn't vote for

Well i will see you at the march. With a funny mask. We can stick it to the man!

It won't. Just another opportunity for young bearded hipsters with Hilary shirts to get selfies, gather some 'likes' and rail against capitalism whilst recording everything on their iPhone 7 and have an organic latte afterwards.

This is why the mrlp exists.

I'll confess to being one of those young non voters, but its mostly because my choice is terrorist, terrorist, hippies, nazis and that one party thats mildly sensible but nobody takes seriously because sensible and politics dont mix

Not voting doesn't do anything. You are acquiescing to whatever the voters decide.

Non-action is not action. You aren't protesting in any way, shape nor form by not voting, you are doing the polar and absolute opposite. You are being lazy. Spoil the ballot paper if you don't like any of the candidates. Those are shown to them. Not voting lumps you with the lazy "can't be bothered" people, and frankly reneges any right you have to moan about politics at all.

The thing that really bugs me about this whole movement... The Anonymous facebook page whilst heavily followed seems to be a conspiracy theorists wet dream. Real anonymous are real hacktivists, with real intentions, not tin foil hat wearing idiots who have nothing better to do than post 9/11 conspiracy bull-****.

Most people have no idea how good they have it... You have the highest education and life expectancy of any person in the history of the human species... Along with the highest quality of life, those who bitch and moan about the most unimportant **** is beyond me... Take some responsibility for your own ****.

I.e. Hospitals under pressure? My dad has been battling cancer since January, in and out of hospital for multiple stays. Every time we witness lazy, slow, inconsiderate and docile nurses. The doctors are fleeting so i can't comment on them, but in general if the nurses actually worked like somebody does every day in the private sector the level of health-care would sky rocket... And this is across multiple hospitals we've been to.

Your comment makes my blood boil. Most ignorant comment I've ever read! You have absolutely no idea what it's like to work as a Nurse. I'm sorry your Dad has cancer, but I can assure you that every Nurse wants to do the best they can.

I am seeing 17 patients a day right now, feel like I am dead at the end of a shift, I'm having panic attacks at work, pinched nerve in my back and ACL tear in my shoulder from lifting heavy edematous legs, turning palliative patients, being assaulted by patients and I'm only 32.

IV's, Catheters, Blood Tests, Syringe Drivers, Dying patients, Leg Ulcers, blood, ****, puss, mucous all in a single shift.

Maybe I should work harder, get an IT job, sit in a chair and tap on a keyboard like you.. Nah would be too difficult for me, I'll stick to my easy Nursing job.

If only you could do 3 x 12.5 hr shifts back to back, one day off then straight onto 3 night shifts. You have no idea how short staffed the NHS is right now, it is not the Nurses it's the **** poor management.

My girlfriend has just finished 3 night shifts and her hand is literally bleeding from drawing up 33 syringes last night in one shift because there were only 2 nurses on for 15 patients, I guess she should work harder ey?! I'll tell her she isn't working hard enough, try working as hard as an IT Support guy.

I'm not asking for sympathy for being a Nurse because I knew the job was tough, but for you to sit there on your computer chair probably a student spunking his student loan on computer upgrades and accuse Nurses of being lazy is the most ignorant comment ever, GROW UP!

To be fair you (possibly) don't know what the staff is like where his dad is - however I've a few family members/relatives who work for the NHS including one who is a chemotherapy nurse who work incredibly hard and take on far more than they should and have a lot of testimonials from patients/ex-patients.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I have friends who are doctors and nurses in the Australian and UK public health services, and they flog themselves to death working ridiculous hours to provide the best possible care under gruelling, demoralising conditions.

As for health workers in the private sector: did you know that the private healthcare industry in Australia and the UK typically recruits doctors and nurses from the public sector precisely because they are so well trained and experienced?

Typical day in an IT job: 3 hours on Facebook, 2 hours on 4chan, 1 hour on emails, 30 minutes on phone calls, and 1.5 hours of actual work.

Thing is though you get quite different results in different places - one area of the NHS near me has even made the national press for how bad they are doing and all the management issues and blah blah (this includes ward side stuff, etc.) while on the other hand the Oncology/Macmillan Unit my cousin works in (in the same region) has gained recognition for excellence and rated one of if not the best in the country.

Ok i need to address a few points here..
1. I come from a family of nurses.. my mum my aunt my grandmother even my step mother.. i know exactly how hard the job is and its contingent on your area, your band and your field.

2. I dont know what its like to work hard? Ive spent the last10 years taking a failing business from under 400k a year to over 1.4 million. Ive worked 80 hour weeks and 18 hour shifts with no breaks.

3. The nurses that we have been dealing with ARE as i describe... IV drip machines feeding chemotherapy into patients with varying levels and degrees of cancer beeping with error messages for hours whilst 3-4 of them sit around the nurses station eating and chatting..

Going in to a medical day unit for treatment only to be kept waiting for 2 hours because the nurse is prioritizing personal phone calls and her lunch break over the time of the patient

One time i had to point out to a nurse that she was giving my dad very strong chemotherapy before the required 12 hours of saline hydration to protect his kidneys.. if i didnt say anything he would have bad kidney failure..

I also had to spot a rigor incident as a side effect from chemo as ths nurses didnt spot it on their fleeting dis interested obs.

My comments are from first hand experience, i have no doubt there are hard working nurses and services in the country that are genuinely understaffed but from what i have seen if any of these people worked for me in my previous business they wouldn't have lasteda fortnight..

By the way last year the BBC did a good article on Anonymous and the Million Mask March. Read this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-34744710 Basically they are against the establishment and how it ****s everyone over. For example our government has let big corporations off the hook over tax evasion while pursuing massive public funding cuts to public services. it is planning to replace Trident nuclear submarines at a staggering cost of 41 billion pounds. etc.
