I'm 4 games into my Villa Season and I'm top of the table, the AI is clearly broken :D
 
I'm really enjoying it. I've seen a lot of little imrpovements. I love the backroom side of things, with sports scientists, data analysts etc. They are providing me with lots of valuable information I wouldn't have had otherwise. Excellent stuff.

First thing I did though was change the horrific background colour :D. I'm using the FM black background as before, and I've imported 9GB of mods, so it actually looks the dogs choppers too.

What do people think of the regen faces this year? Improvement?
 
I've got faces/icon faces, kits, TCM logopack, adboards, trophies and regen hair pack. I haven't installed the regen hair or the adboards yet as they might not work with this version but I will try them later.
 
I've just finished putting together the starting budgets for all six top leagues and the Championship for FM Scout if anyone wants to know any of the clubs starting budgets.

Does that database file still work that you had in FM16 when creating an advanced database? Not tried the game at all yet but just wondering
 
So far, so good. Face recognition was hopeless, no matter what picture I used(of me), but the 3d match engine is awesome so far. All the helpful staff input is fantastic too. This has the hallmark of being the best in the series, but I'll play a few seasons(if I can pull myself away from PSVR) before giving it my score.

Off topic, I assume you're running PSVR on a non PS4PRO? How is it? I'm close to pulling the trigger today

I think it will do yes, it uses the same format. But I just started with a fresh mahoosive database. I've got over 100k players. I tell you something, this years game is the best one yet. It is fantastic. It runs a lot faster than 16 for starters. Saving is more efficient, the match engine is massively improved. The graphics are sharper. The interface has been improved in my opinion, and the micro management is awesome. There is so much to do, but it's vastly rewarding to spend a bit of time learning the ropes. Having said that, I'm having my worst start to any season in any game :D. I have one point in 13 games.

I'm playing as Ayr in the Scottish championship. It's their first season in the league and they were expected to struggle but not as bad as this. I got no money and no chance :) I originally started with the same formation I used very successfully in 16, but it's not working at all in this. I've gone back to a counter defensive 4-4-2, with a few instructions, to keep it as simple as possible. It didn't help that I lost both my goalies for 6-10 weeks, and couldn't get a loan from anywhere. I ended up using a central defender, and a a 16 year old who was as useful as a chocolate teapot :D
 
As per normal, I'm 'holidaying' the first season in order to get the game under way before I take over a team... and on the 64 bit system it's so incredibly ****ing quick! :eek: I've left it for about 10-15 mins and it's already gone from August to December!
