Hi all,

I am a final year Masters student at university and we have a project concerning sound from electric and hybrid vehicles.

Please may you spare 3 minutes of your time to fill out this short questionnaire, it would be much appreciated!

(Mods let me know if this is not allowed)

Questionnaire

Thanks.

Done. Some interesting questions and food for discussion. For the sound, a constant tone would not only drive me up the wall but be very unsafe for tone deaf people which is why our emergency services have sirens which sound the way they do.

Good luck :)

Done. :) Question 9 needs a 'not applicable' option for people who answered no to the previous question though. I think.

The only car I've ever wanted, just based on its engine note before actually seeing it, was a Lamborghini Countach that passed me in Shepherd's Bush back in 1997. I would consider paying for that noise (but probably not anything else).

Done.

Personally I think it should sound like the type of car it is though, just because that is what people are used to.

A small hatchback electric car should sound like a small hatchback, else people won't pay attention/know what it is.
