You would execute children?

That;s an interesting one - you'd have to look at prosecuting the parents. Although obviously not the death penalty but they are responsible for raising the child and providing them with the morals they have and influencing their growth.
A mistake although very tragic is not murder, a war zone is a very dangerous place, mistakes happen.

Sad but true. War is horrific. There is never a nice war and things done in times of war do not follow normal rules and ethics so you cannot apply normal justice to it, if any.

The death penalty should be reinstated. I have no idea why people take the anti view. It seems to me that the anti-position is informed by a fundamental lack of respect for human life: The life of the innocent.

Yes, [This is in answer to the poll] and I am happy to start practising my knots and hefting sacks of sand if a job's in the offing. Those two kids who knifed the mother and daughter would be a good test of the gallows.

Seems some people are quite keen to personally execute children

Thought you were meant to get wiser? Or have you gone full circle to the grumpy old sod stage?

I've got wiser to the scum.
It didn't help working in a Juvenile Prison where even at 15 to 17 there was no hope for a lot of them.
And no I wouldn't hang that age group.

I totally agree that for some there is no hope. At all. And they do deserve death. However it's the balls ups that remove my support.

Should be brought back to execute the queen and the rest of the freeloading, murdering 'royal family'. Set a guillotine outside Buckingham palace, drag the bitch out and off with their heads.

How many miscarriages of justice do we still hear about? Executing one innocent person, and it'd happen, is not worth it.

For those who'd say it's a price worth paying, what if it were someone in your family who was unjustly executed? It's easy to say kill them when you're detached from this kind of 'justice'.
