Yes, saying you can't kill people and then turning around and killing someone is the height of hypocrisy!!

It serves as no deterrent
It disproportionately effects both minority's and the poor (In the US for example)
It's extremely expensive
It condemns far too many innocent people to death

Capital punishment is barbaric, uncivilized and a primitive form of punishment that has no place in a modern society. As an evolved intelligent species it's below us!

Absolutely, it was tough for them once but now with the prison service having a duty of care they are normally kept together on wings specifically for them.
Wakefield prison has a policy of not segregating them and even there they seem to have a charmed life.
Sex offenders are (on the whole) fairly placid but the biggest moaners and complainers in the world.

You have clearly not watched any of the documentaries about prisons that have been on in the last few years!!
The place looks like a hell hole, mentally ill people who shouldn't even be there trying to commit suicide, violence an almost daily occurrence, under-staffing and diminishing resources due to government cuts ...etc ..etc

The idea it's some sort of Butlins holiday camp is your usual ignorant Sun/Daily Fail dribble :rolleyes:

I don't need to watch the telly I worked in the prison service for 26 years, I can't see where I said that they are fully staffed and don't have any mentally ill prisoners or are well funded.
All those things are true, my post was simply that sex offenders don't have a harder time then other prisoners.
Rant away though.
