...or just stick with windows 7?
You can find it much cheaper if you look around. Code sides for example sometimes sell it for as low as £10.

As above can find it much less than £100 - unless you have a use for the Windows Store/UWP or DX12 stuff I wouldn't be in a hurry to upgrade personally.
The free upgrade still worked when I tried last month.
i have windows 7 on this pc, but i am buying a new pc, and i was thinking of having windows 10 installed on that, leaving 7 on this current pc.
i assume i would have to install my copy of windows 7 on the new pc, then upgrade (if i can)?
if not, i'll buy it somewhere.
amazon uk say £85, while ebay are saying £30 for bootable usb?
Do not pay 100 for it, you can get it for much much less and no it won't be an illegitimate code, and if it is you can get a refund from the retailer. There are many.
Sorry - but BS.
Just because somebody says it is legitimate doesn't make it so. Just because you can get a refund, does not make it legitimate. Just because it activates does not make it legitimate.
This concept of "if it works it must be legitimate" is just complete and utter rubbish.
You cannot get a legitimate Windows 10 key for anything south of £70 - £75. Really, you don't need to start pointing me to links on Ebay or even market place sellers at the rainforest. These are not legitimate.
You cannot find a piece of software that Microsoft retail out at £85 and only pay £30 and expect to have a legitimate copy.
As I said in the post before - don't care about legal then great, pirate away. If you're happy giving someone £20 - £30 to sell you a non-legit copy then fill your boots but don't pretend what you've got is even anything like legitimate.
It's a piece of software that you might use every day for several years, perhaps even longer, so yes, it's worth it.
