North / South divide - your view

Just wondering what your view is this is?

My GF is from the north. I am not.

I've seen differences myself. Things like transport being far less developed and invested.

Any actual things you've found? Is there a divide or is it a myth
 
The biggest divide I've noticed is we could sell our two bed house here, and buy a five bed detached with change up there.

My view is us in the north are far more hard working than the southern softies :D, we built this country through hard graft, we are the real men of this country :)
