You did - it's got some hideous pink badges / other details of some sort too and is driven by.... a really rather normal and quiet (i.e non gobby) looking lady

I still prefer the 19s, they fill the arches better, and look more elegant. They do scratch and wear worse than the 18s due to the diamondcut, though. That's pretty much the only downside.

Well, I got a first hand impression of just how quick 577 bhp actually is yesterday, and it was impressive!

An AMG GT-S came round a roundabout behind me and we both floored it (very) briefly. I have well over 300 bhp and I might as well have been standing still. Very fast car. :cool:

I don't get all the hate for the Evoque drop top. Name one other car which can seat four in decent comfort, has loads of toys and luxury bits and can take you and your family on a nice picnic in areas many other cars can't, with the roof off.

I can't think of any.

Was behind this wondering what it was, debadged, genuinely decent sounding modified exhaust, M135i in sleeper format? But why is he driving so slowly?

All was clear later when I checked the reg... 116i :/ :|

Wouldn't a 56 plate have been 2006/2007 anyway when the M135i wasn't around. The most potent hatchbacks were the 130i at the time I think.
