Overwatch

Not enjoying the 1v1 that much as I always seem to get heroes that I don't play and thus get slaughtered instantly.

The 3v3 on the other hand is really good fun!
 
I dunno. I've never played Zarya in a real game but I've done about 9-10 duels with her and won them all somehow. Same with Genji. Whereas I haven't won a Widow duel yet despite playing her a lot.

I think it's because I play super aggressively (key to winning 1v1s imo) which is essential if you ever want to actually burn through Zarya's shields and do damage. If you sit back then you both just regen and nothing happens. Similarly, I think Widow duels favour the one who sits back and preaims corners, where as I run around starting the duels so I just get headshot.

Still, I've played a lot of 1v1s so far and I'm winning about 80% of them so I'm doing something right. Zarya, D.Va, Mei, Soldier and Genji seem to be my best matchups - I only really play Mei and Soldier out of those though. Winston and Rein 1v1s are dumb.

How about Bastion 1 on 1... :rolleyes: That's just a patience game.

I've played 3 now, lost all of them, but 3-5, 4-5, 4-5. Generally I get a char I know how to play, I win. I get one I have no clue, I lose. :(

Did much better with the 3 on 3's yesterday, I feel I was about 6-2 and in a couple of cases I got the vast majority of kills. Soldier seems to be a good choice for me.

Got to say, I am thoroughly enjoying this, even against hard AI, it is a blast. Started playing at about 7 and time has just flown by, this hasn't happened to me for a long time when it comes to gaming. Thought it would be just like TF 2 but this is far more fun. Unsure about longevity atm but the mix of hero types + great map design and team play should help....

Annoying that there isn't proper 21.9 support but got to say, it still doesn't look too bad:

Yup virgin may have pretty crap quality/latency compared to the likes of BT but their speeds sure are nice! :D

You're playing bots? Just get stuck in on Quick Play. Don't worry about inexperience, that's what Quick Play is for :) (It should also match you with similar players anyway)

Was just wanting to get to grips with it first and not get my ass handed to me straight away :p Shall be trying against people tomorrow. Been ages since I have sank any real time into a FPS game so my aim is awful :o Although quite enjoying playing as support/reinhardt...
 
The new 3v3 mode seems to be 'meta'd' out if that's such a thing? Seeing Roadhog absolutely destroy in most games. His ability to break up a team and also heal is deadly.

Self healing characters are definitely the most useful. Soldier 76 is a popular pick as well.

And D.va is pretty good because if her mech gets destroyed it doesn't take long before you can call down another and are back to full health.
 
Does this game have some kind of mouse acceleration?
I am playing with 1% in game sensitivity and 200DPI for it to feel right and that is the lowest my mouse and in game will go.

Nope, the mouse feels very good to me. As good as Source games (TF2, CS:GO) with raw input. Then again I'm using a faster sens (40cm/360) so I can't say for sure at that extremely low sens you're using.

Bastion 1v1s end very quickly when I play them. I've won 90% of them I think. I don't use turret form at all, just out aim them with normal shooting. If they use turret form I just lose line of sight and go to a different area of the map so he has to move, or he'll get flanked. Turret form is extremely useless on the 1v1 map.

Again Bastion is a character I'm crap at in real games but it's an easy character to win with in 1v1s if you understand how to win 1v1s.
