Am after a new card to play new games my current parts are listed here

amd FX 6100- @3.30
8 gig ram
Gpu 650ti

am looking to pay around £200 ish Thanks

Most definitely an RX480, looks like it will be the best card for around £200 when its released (4GB version), the 8GB one may be about £25 -50 out of your price range though.

Have to wait for it to come into stock next Wednesday!

yep depending on where the pound is where 8g will fall its most likely will be around 210ish.....and 4g version should be under 200 :D

Like all the previous suggestions I think an RX 480 is the way to go, It'll also be better if you save up the extra needed for an 8 gb models seeing as Nvidia will undoubtedly push games there involved with developing to use more than 4 gb's of ram.

Just a quick question will this card bottleneck or be fine thanks

SAPPHIRE RADEON RX 480 NITRO+ OC 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-EXPRESS RGB GRAPHICS CARD

Are the 480s coming down in a few days time then?

Nope Black Friday has already started at OcUK, no further price reductions on graphics cards.

The only new deal on 480 we shall have is a reference card back in stock at £224.99 with Civ6, but that is going on weekly offer tomorrow. :)

Saw that but was looking to spend around 150. I see the RX470 devil card for 158.

WOuld this handle most game sta 1440p? I won't be gaming at 4k.

That FX6100 will bottleneck like a mofo in most of the latest demanding games.

I personally found Battlefield 1 totally unplayable on it, spikes all over the place and drops into the 20's at times (online, single player is fine at 60fps).

I'd say at a minimum you'd want to overclock the crap out of it and still expect pretty bad bottlenecking, at best, consider upgrading to an FX8320/8350 if you want to support a new card.

Hand on heart, I would take one of those with a GTX650Ti for the short term, rather than take an RX470 with an FX6100.

Mate has a R9 390 and a FX6300 overclocked to 4.5GHZ - we compared some games like ARK between his rig and his partners one which had a Xeon E3 1230 V3/Core i7 4770 - the latter had slightly higher framerates overall.

The OP should overclock the FX6100 and get one of the RX470 offers under £160 now,or one of the offers on a RX480 8GB or GTX1060 6GB - waiting now is not really worth it as card prices WILL go up. The pound has every chance of going down further as time prgresses.

Even if you hit a CPU bottleneck, there is evidence for Kaby Lake Celerons maybe having HT enabled for under £70,etc,and generally having higher clockspeeds for the Core i5 chips and there will be probably deals on Skylake chips too when Kaby Lake is released.

I would also look for deals on DDR4 kits,as RAM pricing will also go up.
