Empathy Quotient

15/80, which doesn't surprise me. My lottery fantasy is to live on an island by myself and see other people only about once a month when I go to the mainland to do some shopping.

It used to bother me, but now I'm older I've realised that I don't actually have to be like most people and the fact that I'm not isn't a problem. If you imagine the social "glue" between people as literal glue, mine is the stuff on the back of post-it notes :)

I do find it amusing that I'm apparently so utterly lacking in empathy yet I find videos of people being humiliated, injured or killed offensive and normal people find them funny. That's so normal that if you search online for "funny video" you're very likely to get a page full of videos like that.

I couldn't take the test seriously after the question about fashion, anyway. Devout following of a ludicrously fake way to extract money from people isn't what I would consider a sign of empathy.

Depends which personality you get when i take the tests.

Either a) get tears in my eyes reading sad news stories, going out of my way to help people etc or b) couldn't give two hoots about your piddly problems, 9/11 - who cares, just a statistic, that's life etc

It sounds a good plan to me, but how we approach vetting?

That's that hard one!

I also don't find lying about what people have said to be funny, yet that's normal too. As you've just shown.

I think I care more about other people than "normal" "empathetic" people do.

Well that's an interesting perspective. Fair enough.

I'm very sociable and have to arrange a lot of events for hobby groups which are fun, but in all honesty I really am happiest when I'm left alone.

Your Empathy Quotient score was 65 out of a possible 80.

I tried to answer as accurately as I could. I think most of that score was due to my asnwers I can strongly tell what someone is feeling, when people are uncomfortable etc and go out of my way to include people in group situations and put myself in others shoes.

Some people here have really low scores, I know this is just some online test (So probably means very little...) but jeeze people. Do you just not give crapp :D ?

It's interesting to see the range of scores though.

Many of my answers were simply lacking the expected exaggerations. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a significant part of the reason for low scores. It's not the done thing nowadays to agree or disagree mildly - everyone must lay claim to one extreme or the other, like everything is Marmite.

I can't give crap to the questionnaire website - it doesn't have a letterbox!

I don't get the issues. Being able to understand and empathise with others helps a great deal in crushing them both physically and mentally when you need to utterly destroy them.

....indicate a lack of empathy common in people with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

I'm always told i'm dead inside because I just don't care about other peoples problems, I have my own problems to deal with.

Thats why they have other questions which are a little harder to parse.

That's not really the issue. The quiz is asking your opinion on your ability/desire to do things. Not actually gauging your actual ability/desire to do things against a known constant.

46/80

Was expecting it to be higher to be honest. The questions could had been better worded or made more clear, I found just a few to be tricky to understand.

I also think the test was a load of crap too, I always viewed myself having a really high morale code and high sense of justice.

36/80

but i dont get what making lists of chorse or how i am when i wake up in the morning or if i can relax having not acomplished my to do list for the day has anythijng to do with empathy?

I don't believe that your personality can be deduced via a questionnaire. No matter how searching the questions.

I am more than a score on my report card. I am a special *********. A unique individual. There is nobody like me.

Which you should all be extremely grateful for. No, that's not right. "For which you should be extremely grateful."
