Agencies are only useful for lower skilled jobs if you keep on them constantly ie you need to be ringing them daily or every other day to see if they have anything for you. Relying on them to ring you won't work.

Every company nowadays seems to use them for drivers - unless you are very lucky and the few get to work for a company. I have no experience so those jobs with 'proper' companies are no go for me. But I can't get experience.... :mad:
 
Xmas is rocking up soon, so there will be a large call for anyone looking to do multi-drops with a van. It's driving experience. Granted not on large rigs, but some exp is better then none.
 
Horrible experience when anxiety actually stops me dead and beats me, Rumination seems to be killing me over a past event iv been sort of forced to bring back up. What is life eh

On a more positive note i successfully gained a pay rise this week of 6% .. Not sure if thats good or bad but it works out at quite abit of money for me :)
 
Start of three days of leave ... yay!

The best bit, other than having to waiting in for a few deliveries and getting a hair cut at some point, I have nothing planned to do other than rreeeeelllllaaaaaaaxxxxxx ....
 
You get nicked for speeding for only the second time in 21 years of driving! :mad:

I might take the points, I also nearly got nicked for my driving licence having an invalid address. :eek: I said to him "I have not seen my driving licence for years and I mean 10+ years and I had moved about 6 times in 21 years".

Lucky enough he was ok with it. ;)

You should have seen the little ****ing training Nazi with him, about 21 to 23 looking down at me and did not speak a word, even when I said good bye and thank you for your time! :D
 
Another open day, another job application..... I haven't given up on becoming a lorry driver but I can't live on fresh air and so i'll get any job....

Needs must - failing that i'll have to sign on. I've been applying for jobs for last 4 weeks and have received nothing except it has cost me about £80 in fuel signing up with different agencies...
 
12 mile round trip walking today armed with my camera and tripod. Over 4hrs of walking so I think I'll be in need to a drink when I get back to the hotel!
 
I have spent the day producing reports, KPI's and the other managerial rubbish they like to spout about in meetings.

So glad I am not in the office tomorrow.

Ordered a mousemat and a mug from OcUK, the checkout screwed up, 5 orders got placed at the same time, and 3 payments got taken... I'm quite annoyed, but also a little amused that it could go so hideously wrong. I'm glad I hadn't ordered something of high value!!!

Thread in the CS section to get my 32 quid back! :p

Also ordered a new chair finally, from elsewhere. The order went through without a hitch... :p
 
Last nightshift finished before a week off and 2 months of solid work after that...

Could have finished about 6 hours earlier if it wasn't for people having some sort of bizarre axe to grind.

Reminds me of last friday when I got 'you've worked your nads off this week, get yourself away a few hours earlier for your efforts' yeah thanks for that, I'm on keys so will be locking up after you leave. Hurry the **** up and get out.

Must have been something on Facebook then, looking back at our whatsapp messages, it's been a while.

That's what happens when you get a new fella, you abandon the people you spoke to before.. :p ;)
