I tried to search but couldn't find it and had no idea what it was called.

But I got into uni today - unconditional offer! :D After 4years of making sure things are in place and failing at things I've succeeded at this so far! Now the hard work starts!

To study physiotherapy at Wolverhampton. :D

Now the question is do I withdraw my other offers to accept this one or do I wait until the new year for them all to come back then make the 'informed decision' as per UCAS advice?

Is Wolverhampton your University of choice? If not, hold out until you hear from the uni you're most interested in and then make a decision.

Personally I'd hold out until the new year unless there's a time limit for you to make a decision.

congrats mate, good job at getting this far! Its been almost 15 years since I left and no doubt things have changed in that time but if it's your fist choice snap it up and don't forget to start the celebrations over Xmas.

Oops - I forgot to make a 2016 uni thread!

Well done on getting your offer ☺️

I'm on my third year now - got off to a cracking start. Only had one assignment marked so far but it came back as an A+, pretty chuffed with that as I wasn't feeling overly confident about the HCI module.

Dissertation is going well, nearly finished the lit review at 5000 words so onto methodology next. Already started the build so nice to have a head start on that.

I've now got 20hrs lecturing this year so it's pretty tough managing that and a full time degree but it'll be worth it :-)

As has been said, did you apply to other places and would you prefer to go their rather than Wolverhampton.

Either way, may as well at least wait until the deadline.

Thanks. It's closer so is more viable and I do really like the uni and the people but because it's a new course I'm wary. My others are 50 and 60 miles away and one has an established course but is really hard to get to and get around. The other seems like a good uni in a lovely place and is a reasonably new course however the head of allied health really liked the fact that I had empathy which very few others can have.

I'll give it a week and see what happens.

Either way after not even getting an interview last year to being accepted this year.... :D wow!

Good news! Helpimcrap might be not so 'crap' after all. ;) Definitely wait for more offers to filter through, and make an informed choice on the pro-cons re Physio for each place. I'd also start looking into the careers dept. of each uni, links to private and national health providers, their placement rates and the like; for a refresher if nothing else, as it should also influence your choice for this sort of study route. For example: Wolves might have a new course (which may be comprised of modules on existing pathways, so check those out), but if they have good local and national links to help health grads, it'd be just fine.

Ta. Also can unconditional offers be withdrawn by the university?

i.e. if I wait to see what the others are doing in the mean time Wolves might withdraw their offer? Is that possible?

I've never heard that happening. Have they given you a date to accept by?

Think of it like any other contractual offer: should you accept within the time stipulated, it's down to the other party to fulfil their bit. In some rare cases, an unconditional offer may be void if the institution drops the course (though they'd still have an obligation to the people who'd accepted by then). Indeed, some unis get into trouble by making too many offers, expecting some drop-off, only for them all to be taken up -- they still have to accommodate you. In short, 'sorry, prospective student, we've changed our mind' with unconditionals won't wash. There's also no pressure to accept immediately.

I can't see a 'reply by' anywhere on the form? But where should I be looking?

Until all the universities have made a decision the box to choose one doesn't come up apparently.

It says this "Last updated 2 Dec 2016. The university or college has offered you an unconditional place. More details. This offer is subject to you obtaining We are very pleased that we have been able to verify your existing qualifications. Based on these, we have now confirmed your offer as unconditional. A satisfactory DBS Police Check and Occupational Health check will be required. The Admissions Unit will send you details about these checks as part of the admissions process."

Cool, thanks. :)

When your last decision comes in, we'll send an email as usual to say there's an update (or a letter advising you about replying).

Then you go to Track to make your replies.
You'll have a deadline shown in Track to do this by – how much time you have depends on the time of year, varying from one to five weeks.

And the standard dates are:
Code:
Reply dates
These are based on when we get the last decision in from your unis or colleges. Check Track to see your personal deadline.

Last decision received on or before...	Means your reply date is...
31 March 2017 4 May 2017
5 May 2017 8 June 2017
8 June 2017 22 June 2017
13 July 2017 20 July 2017

Has clearing dates. If unsure, you can also email the admissions office at one of the unis directly.

Ah right so the deadline is set by UCAS from the last reply not by the university. That's really cool, cheers. Thank you, that has set my mind at ease that I can't do anything until all have replied and the offer will not be withdrawn.

Top tip - Don't be one of those 30-40% of students who turns up to at best 50-60% of lectures. Most lecture slides and recordings are available on university VLE's and sites such as Panopto.. But nothing beats actually being there, even if its boring and you want to fall asleep.

You are paying £9,000 a year for them to teach you, use it..
A lecture you learn by being told
A Seminar you learn by doing

Both are required to learn a subject correctly.. Also READ, don't procrastinate..

Cheers. You are talking to someone who was the only one to have a 100% record until his broke down for one day when I was at college last year. :)
The thing which let me down last year was being the only man in the group. Young girls being girls huddle together and are unreliable so I was forced to be partnered with people and divide tasks but they'd never turn up. I ended up doing 1 task completely on my own as I knew full well they would be useless. I got distinction for that. But that was after being let down 3 times so I'd learned too late.

I used to never turn up to college - sub 50%. Model student now.

ps it's £9250. As I pointed out to the lecturer at Wolverhampton lol. He was cool about me being pedantic. :)
