Over the last 2 years since the refugee crisis there have been 24 terrorist attacks in Europe. There were 24 from 2000-2014. Even through the years of the gulf and Afghanistan wars there was nothing like there is today. It can't be just a coincidence.

Yes... the correlation is the Saudi's exporting their extremists views to the world, then you had the rise of ISIS saying commit more attacks in their name. The refugees do not enter into this, accept be a burden on resources.

I'm not defining that term. I'm asking how many people there are who actually commit these attacks, and what proportion of the total that represents. I'm also looking forward to hearing which entire countries are in on it.

Well it's not hard to work out. 2016 is nearly at an end, google the amount of terrorist attacks this year, and look at some statistics on how many muslims there are worldwide then you will have your answer.

Al-Qaeda were saying the same thing from 2000 onwards, yet there was only 4 Islamic attacks in that time. There wasn't so many here and it was easier to monitor their activity. There's so many now that security services are fighting a losing battle.

Scrapped open free border for all Europe and close every border... If it happen by Islam then stop flow migant from middle East to Europe plus check home grow country as well. It still too many in all europe

I think we all know what this is going to be.

Are are the liberal EU politicians going to keep their fingers in their ears? The only groups they seem to take action on are those demanding action for their non-action over this situation.

It's quite literally a culture clash.

You have a group of people that have a way of life that is completely different to what it is in 'The West'. When you move a lot of these people here en masse, three things will happen. Some will 'integrate' and accustom themselves to the culture of the land they live in. The others will keep to themselves in the host country and create whole neighbourhoods/areas that almost live the way they did in the country they came from, and the very small third option is to try to impose your way of life in the country you have moved to. I suppose these are the 'extremists' and the ones committing the attacks.

The reason why so many will tend towards the second is because their culture is dictated by their religion.

ON TOPIC: Any more info on the attacker's motives?

Whatever is happening it is turning in to yet another tragic event. Regardless of hiding inside my own four walls I still have enough humanity left in me to weep for events like this. RIP and thoughts to all those affected.

Plans are being foiled every day, that sounds like to me they're doing an okay job stopping them from being enacted, but a lone wolf who decided when he got up in the morning 'I'm going to run over some infidels today' - that is simply something that cannot prevented.

Which is why ISIS have been preaching that message, due to lone wolves being next to impossible to prevent - you'd think we would get these attacks daily.

Yea, give me my chips back.

There was only one left, I swear. :p

Yep - at the time of the Arab Spring it felt like a distant world away from the civility of Europe. But not any longer, it's like a nightmare come true.

You are getting confused with correlation and causation.

The increases in refugees is due to ISIS, as are the terrorist attacks. Over the last 5 years 82-97% of terrorist victims were Muslim. The refugees are escaping ISIS and related terrorist, e.g. Al-Qaeda kills over seven times more Muslims than non-Muslims.

Stop falling for ISIS propaganda. the terrorists want t you to blame refugees and blame all Muslims. If you want to standup against terrorism don't fall for their lies and instead support the victims being displaced.

Every time someone blames refugees or Muslims the terrorists win another fight.

This is stupid, whats Germans done to the muslims, gone out of there way to help them rather than bomb the crap out of their countries.
