Truck crashes into Christmas market in Berlin

That's the point, they are sporadic. Islamic terror attacks on the other hand are not, they are frequent and to be expected and this is when it becomes apparent that there is an issue.

Firstly; it is cyclical, there have been increases in terrorist attacks during periods of history before. Nobody is claiming this is not an issue.

Furthermore; extremism is on the rise, not just in the Middle East. When 'the West' bombs your country in to the ground, it can be quite easy to gather groups of disenfranchised people to fight against a cause, under false pretence.

Interesting that we (British Government) is happy to sell huge amounts of weapons to the Middle East, and strike deals with countries that directly fund terrorist.

This is not a 'muslim' problem; it is a terrorist problem, an extremist problem.

Do people blame Christianity when a devout Christian murders people at an abortion clinic, do they blame all white people?
The difference in bodycount explains the difference in reaction. There's clearly something about Islam that produces more instances of extreme behavious.

And why bring skin colour into it?

It's sad that the automatic reaction is to blame a religion.

Rather than paying some respect to the dead.

Shame on you all.

Welcome to Overclockers political sphere.

People would rather use this an excuse to soap box rather than just say how tragic it was.

Some of us are getting sick to the back teeth of having to pay respect to the dead time after time after time.

We shouldn't have to. It shouldn't happen!

I agree, and personally would never blame anything on religion being an atheist. Humans killing other humans is not an act of any religion. It's an act of utter lunacy.

This is stupid, whats Germans done to the muslims, gone out of there way to help them rather than bomb the crap out of their countries.

My hypothesis is German traditions under attack. In the same way the Bataclan metal concert might have been viewed as 'deviant'. Look at pictures of events like Oktoberfest - far too German for some people to tolerate.

Arm chair experts jumping to conclusions based on no information.

More knee jerk than a damn cancan.

Wait... this attack happened because the Christmas Market was 'too German for 'some' people to tolerate'?

Here it is guys.

Everyone edit their posts to RIP and nothing else.

Let's not talk about the issues causing things instead we should wallow in inaction.

Please tell me what the issue is. As no information has actually been released. Unless you're calling for restrictions on truck driving?

I think it was more a commentary on how on Overclockers the usual reaction is not one of sadness, or tragedy, but rather to blame a certain group and push agenda's, regardless of information.

This guy has it.

GD is getting ridiculous.

We were also on the verge of being told 'keep calm and carry on' during the period when the country prepared for invasion; solidarity in the face of adversity.
