I agree with you megalomaniac, this absolutely needs to be a full replacement for the 3DS and Wii U. If it does capture both markets, I believe it will actually become more than the sum of its parts and will be a great success.
When you align the combined sales of the 3DS, Wii and Wii U with Sony's offerings over the same time period, they're not all that far off. The size of the market that bought in to the 3DS will make a massive difference to how it feels to be an owner of the Switch. It should be nothing like owning a Wii U, where you often felt like you were the only owner on the planet
