Carrie Fisher - Heart Attack - Now deceased

Paramedic on board which massively improves her chances of survival, could have happened in a much worse place/time so fingers crossed, having said that with it being a transatlantic flight.. could have been only a few hours in :(

The plane appears to have landed at its destination, so either she had the attack shortly before landing or it was a small one or there's little hope and they're just going through the motions.

Here's hoping the best for her.

I new Hope she pulls through, 60 is no age at all these days. Anyhoo...

The odds of a full recovery are still horribly low, though, because CPR is basically rubbish (just better than nothing). No idea what equipment they have on board planes, though.

You don't get a small cardiac arrest. Assuming the writers aren't idiots who've confused heart attacks with cardiac arrests.

The big ones are pretty well equipped.

Hope she is OK. :/

Long haul International flights general have Defibrillators, short haul airlines are starting to get them now.

In some way it could be better to have an incidence on a plane and get immediate attention with a doctor and nurse if the report is correct, than say she had one where she was alone.
