Is this as serious as it sounds, or a gesture?

Until the US show evidence of all this, then I can't support it. Are we just expected to believe the CIA without any proof?

Anyway, it'll blow over. Russia will expel US diplomats, there'll be some strong rhetoric from either side, then Trump will become president and relations will thaw pretty quickly.

Not serious imo. Just a chilling in US/Russian relationships. If there is a new Cold War around the corner, then Trump isn't the guy to walk us into it.

The media love to make a big fuss over stuff like this. The way they write headlines have most people thinking we will be at war with them in a few days because they are CLEARLY evil people who just want to do us all harm.

I should think one of the first things Trump will do when he is made Pres, will be to totally reverse this decision...

The US needs to present solid evidence, on what they're accusing Russia of, to be taken seriously...

It's almost as if Obama et all want to wrack diplomatic relations with Russia as much as possible before Trumps take over to give him as hard a time as possible. The issue is for them that as long as Russia doesn't rise to the bait then it's easily fixed.

Yep, it's the liberal elite at the top reaaallllly want Russia to be the big bad wolf at the door like in the 80's. But it's not going to work this time and that's why they're prodding China as well to see if the take the bait

One moment Trump is a fascist dictator, next minute he's a wimp who can be pushed around. It's almost as if you dream-up the worst possible scenario and just assert that it "will" happen.

He wont be a whipping boy to Putin, but he will be more cordial in his relations and ease the pressure off between the two countries a million times more than Hilary would have done.
