Its the same brightness though for main beam.... just without a shutter!
easy solution separate element for dipped just like it used to be. or lower the voltage etc.

The reason for DRLs was to increase the visibility of cars coming towards you. If conditions require rear visibility then lights should be turned on just the same as when DRLs weren't a thing.
Proper DRLs are front and rear. I't the more recent half-***** attempt that seems to be front only.
It is here - We have an SUV, but I still get blinded by Audi/BMW/White Van headlights... but I now get the additional hassle of them flashing me over my own lights. I even turned them down on the load adjuster dial, despite them being OK'ed at an MoT station...Hey that's not us in the tall car's problem![]()
yes yes yes.. hate it! usually the tall SUV'shigh mounted lights = blinds everyone in lower cars.
They're too bright. Most self leveling is a pile of crap so you always get 10 billion lumens in the face at every bump. It's not necessary at all.
Too many folks don't understand what self levelling is it seems![]()
So buy an SUV = problem solved![]()
Not sure why VOSA has slacked off so much and let it through.
Doesn't really matter does it, because the point is even more valid.
I'm not sure if overly bright head lamps are as annoying as being sat behind someone in a stationary queue at lights who sit on their foot brake all the time. Why do so many do that?
Really?
Im out.
Glad my contribution is so well respected.
