Anyone swallowed the rather chunky cost and ordered one? I was going to but €300 for a CPU block I just couldn't live with...

Just wondering who did - feels a little like the '€50 Euro Donation' is just added to the price, I might have parted with about 200 personally but there you go.

Yeah the price is steep. The "Charity" donation of $50 is 20% makes EK look awesome they didn't have to make such a generous donation.

Well they didn't they could have given the consumers the saving. from their official facebook post looks like 10+ already ordered.

Could be profit to be made on these can see them on Ebay within the week looking £400+ each and some crazy people will probably pay it.

Yep, even at an overpriced €200 i might have but really it's not exactly fitting for all builds. Shows promise for new styling though, if they ever change the designs!

Not sold on that donation, as their anniversary it should be them donating and that price feels like I am - good cause but really I would rather give it to a charity closer to my own home/heart

Gold is tricky... you'd have to do a full gold themed build (it doesn't really go with anything other than black, perhaps red), plus I've seen it done quite a few times anyway, so it's hardly original.

I've been trying to find a gold accented mobo that this could actually work with, but there just don't seem to be any. The gold they've gone with here is quite unique it seems, more on the yellow side. The Asrock Z170 is close, but it's too much of an orange gold.

I've ordered one for my Red/Gold Build and the black will work with my motherboard. Price is very steep though.

I was considering getting one as it looks really nice but as I don't think I'll ever build a gold themed system I'd only be getting it to display on it's own and the price is a tad steep for that.
