** Steam Backlog Support Group **

I think I belong here, or maybe I have a whole new problem, I just like many of you have a steam addiction for buying cheap games and having a backlog of games that lets be honest I'll never play, but I also have to have them all installed so when friends come over I can proudly stick out my chest and boast to high heaven that I have such a huge list of games ready to play, "oh the endless possibility's" i mutter to myself as all my friends say "surely you'll never play them all it's a waste of time" stupid console fanboys just dont get it I say back to them.

I know I wont play them all, but sometimes I can spend hours between games looking just looking at them, not greyed out in my steams list. it's a feeling that has never been rivalled even when my child was born I took more pride in my steam list.

help.

I think we have a winner. Wait, no - what's the opposite of that?

2 player is pandemonium, can only imagine the kind of chaos (and screaming and shouting) that would happen with 4 players!

We keep re-quoting things to each other like: "I need some clean dishes!" or "MORE ******* LETTUCE!!"

Yeah... One of my brothers is now referred to as Gordon Ramsay... :p

Have you played Trappers Delight? Another little gem that well.. You totally shouldn't buy, no more games damnit!

Hi

My name is Werewolf and I have a problem.
I too have a steam backlog, it started in about 9 years ago and I currently have 348 games that I have not played as I tend to buy games cheap and then find I don't have time to play them...

I'm not too worried though, as a lot of them were bought in bundles so I might have got 5 games for less than the cost of the one I wanted..

Seriously though a word of advice which has slowed my rate of purchasing is to not store card details in Steam, Humble Bundle and the like. That extra step seems to make a difference. Sometimes it's all too easy to fire up your computer, Steam starts up and "ooh look at that bargain" click click etc...

I only really started buying games on Steam again February last year after an 8 or so year hiatus from PC. Since then (apart from the likes of HL2 which have been sat in my account years), I now have 146 games, plus what's on Origin, BattleNet and Uplay. This year I'm winding it right in, I justify it to myself that they'll still be there when I retire, but right now I haven't got the time to play more than 1-2 games a month. Just started the Witcher 3 which I've sunk 30 odd hours into so far so that will keep me busy for a while yet.

On the upside, I met someone the weekend who has 1317 games, I **** you not!

Lets face it, the vast majority of games in most people's Steam library are absolute rubbish they've bought because it was cheap, usually in a bundle deal.

Can't say I've ever bought a £10+ game and not played it straight away.

I have a few £10 games not played straight away (e.g. Doom) but not far off the mark. Most games I have picked up on the cheap or won't buy them until they drop because I know I'm not in a position to start them straight away.

I have, apparently, 867 Steam games of which I would guess at least 500 I will play for no more than half an hour.

First game ticked off my list this year, completed life is strange last night. Think i'll crack on with fallout 4 now, would be good to complete it and free up some ssd space.

i wonder what the average playtime is for a game on steam?, everyone has a bunch of games.

sometimes i buy games and dont add them to steam and they get left in limbo :/

I've got loads of games in my Steam library I haven't played yet. I'd love to play through some of them but I don't seem to have the time to play all of them. I'm going to keep my game buying habits down this entire year. So far there are only 4 games I'm planning on getting this year and that will be all.

Also since I've got into streaming recently I've been playing some games a lot more than I used to play them so that has changed my gaming habits as well.

Just had a look at mine and most of the ones I haven't played are older games or thing I got in a bundle like Half Life/HL2, etc - things that I might actually play now that I've bought a Surface Pro 4 which will be able to handle some light gaming!

Started tackling my backlog this last week by playing a new purchase: Crazy Machines 3! My blog is linked in my sig or you can view the post directly here

We'll get through this together, right? Right? :p

I have a fair few games, I guess 50-60 no where near what some of you have! - but its a lot, however if/when I get time I only ever play Xcom, Xcom 2 or KSP.

Awesome games I never seem to get bored of, especially as I discovered long war just before xmas.
