You see that's where it gets interesting... There was a building contractor faceplate fitted, BT were not keen on changing it for some reason (I wasn't here) there is infact no test socket.

Yep still got the entry point - Might give them a ring tomorrow providing they're open.

Pfft, it's cold outside. That's what I pay line rental for :p

Trust message sent.

BT have finally "admitted" the HH6 is a load of crap and stopped issuing them. India call centre will now only send out HH5 as a replacement as they "acknowledge there is a problem with the HH6 wifi".

How official this directive is I`m not sure just heard the above over someone who reported Wifi issue with HH6 but you can still buy them from the BT Shop. Have they finally taken notice of the numerous threads on BT Community forum and probable number of complaints/faulty units?

No new firmware since October suggests they cant fix it in software plus the fact my HH6 is still stuck on June 2016 firmware and never updates.

Thank Crunchie for my HH5.

What makes me laugh is they are now trying to shove their new "Whole Home Wifi" product on us.

Got a HH6A here. Latest firmware update was 23/12! No issues with wifi at all, actually better than my Asus - RT-n66u so some people might be having issues but none here.

I knew my Hh6 was a pile of ****. I ended up buying the netgear nighthawk d7000, cracking peice of kit and setup very easily. Made the wifi much strioonger and I can get the use of the 300MB dl now off the laptops

Just moved house, more than happy with this:

Seems like I've lost 10Mbps, I presume DLM has downgraded my profile, any way to get it back?

Your profile is just your connected rate.

What are your modem stats?

DLM will have reduced your speed to make the connection stable, This could be due a number of things.

Quick question, Will it make any difference moving to BT infinity over Sky Fibre. Im unhappy with Skys Service at the moment and want to change, can get an equivalent offer from BT but with Sky my ping is pretty good.

Just want to ensure myself it wont be worse with BT, is there a way to tell in advance or does anyone have a comparison opinion they could offer?

Thanks

Recently moved from Fibro pro to BT infinity 1. Was getting sync of 44/12 Mbps on sky and now get full 53/10 on BT getting through to Sky CS usually took >30 mins on phone, BT is the same. Ping is virtually the same. Hope that helps.

Appreciate it, yes it does thank you. As I understand it, Sky uses BTs service anyhow, but wasn't sure if BT managed traffic any differently

Congestion and traffic shaping seem to be relevant to geographical location. I haven't noticed any in Nottingham on BT nor Bham on sky.
