I actually think the Met Office need to be brought to task over the chaos it creates with constant overly pessimistic predictions (I won't call them forecasts since as far as I can see they use no form of science to create their "worst case" scenario games)
I sometimes wonder if I'll ever again experience the levels of snow in the UK we had on the outskirts of Whitchurch, Shropshire, back in ~1979. I was only ~6 at the time, but I still remember having to wade through the snowy fields as if I was a saddle sore cowboy, with the snow above my waist.
Certainly not much chance of that on the south coast, much more likely if I go to visit mother after she moves to Hebden Bridge!
I blameWiggleglobal warming.

Well done for telling us that somewhere, in 1200sq miles, it's snowing, because I'm in Gloucestershire, and it's not snowing here.
For a good amount of snow you really need an easterly from Siberia and a low of France.
We've got sleety stuff in Southampton now; am preparing my panic station.
Rain all day here :/
