It's snowing

Day #156 - no snow yet. Started to doubt BBC weather predictions but i got a hold of myself and went out to purchase more de-icer and snow shovels. It proved to be a fruitful venture as they were both on special offer given the summer sale. Saw some fools walking round with Cornettos and flip flops, they wont last the week when the snow finally blocks us in our homes tonight.

Just shown Chelmsford racecourse on TV. Snow settling fast. Still going to run the races though. They won't miss a pound note these people. Poor horses.

snowing now on the berks/surrey boarder, grass and cars have turned white in the last 20 mins, roads looking slushy

Trafficmageddon tonight in this part of Surrey caused by snow (well, people at work all left to drive home as soon as it started snowing).

Have typically snowy countries, seen a decrease in snowfall though?

It was a very warm winter with little snow here last year.

I asked my Canadian friend what the snow was like. He replied "Not too bad". I asked what that means, and he replied "Well there are still a few snow piles around but it hasn't snowed for a while"

Then he sent me a picture of one of these "piles" of snow. :D

To counter last year I now have a 4 foot high 30 foot long snow pile in my front garden this year. :p

It's too cold and dry to make snowmen or have snowball fights though. :(

So, two forecast hours of heavy snow turned out to be 20 minutes of sleet...gissa job, I can do dat.

So i'm driving home on the motorway and it's snowing quite heavy, you'd expect people to be more cautious, right?

Anyways in the middle lane doing 60 as per the speed warning, and a guy speeds up behind me, within few feet and just keeps on horning and flashing me. I can't exactly move over to the first lane as there is traffic there as it's leading to a slip road off the motorway/junction. Took no notice of this looney behind me and all of a sudden he pulls over to the third lane and starts what I can only perceive as foul mouthing and giving me the finger. I gave him a smile and a thumbs up, he sped up considerably and cut me off few meters ahead, causing me to slam my brakes. He still seems quite agitated and attempts to pull off the motorway and cut the traffic queue building up to leave the junction.

Yep you guessed it, he misses the turn and drives straight into the barrier causing a crash.

Couldn't help but smirk as I drove passed the ******, karma is a bitch!
