*** Nintendo Switch ***

Ah ok cool.

Does that mean I could buy a USB A to C cable and plug it into say an iphone charger?

It does depend on what kinda output the Switch needs. For example, my laptop is USB C charged but requires a 45w or more source. The smaller Apple plugs only put out around 5W (according to Apple) and there larger ones put out 12W. I suspect it would be fine with a 12W because iPads don't require any more than that and, spec wise, you're not looking at much more than that tbh. But worth double checking.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is showing at £50 on Amazon. Seems overpriced considering it is not a new game. I hope it is a miss-price like the Zelda one.

Ordered this morning but just decided to cancel, zelda is strong sure but after that theres nothing for me until xenoblade or mario which look to be later in the year if that!

Hope it does well ill certainly grab one towards the end of the year. But £280, plus a game that you have to guess around 40-50, a memory card if you want more than 32gb storage it all adds up

I just pre orderd The switch via amazon at the huge price of £279.99 . Is this the cheapest around as its way more than i thought it would be .

Brexit or no Brexit, if anyone here thinks that this overpriced **** was ever going to launch at anything less than £250 were deluding themselves.

Actually the more i reflect about this the more i think this is a pretty poor show from Nintendo.

£280 for essentially a dockable tablet.

£60 for games.

Only 32gb of internal storage is a huge oversight.

Think i'm going to wait till its been out for a bit before I commit - I absolutely love Zelda but im not forking out best part of £350 to get hold of it when we still know very little about the console and the support from 3rd party publishers. I'll end doing the same as my original Wii, just playing Zelda then letting it collect dust.

Might just wait until launch day and try my luck at Tesco, sure ive got some clubcard points to redeem.

Don't blame you to be honest. The software prices are taking the Wii :p

I was hoping that the Mario game would be on launch or there about's, but it looks to be at the end of the year. Then you got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being over priced for a game I already owned. That leave me with just Zelda for launch.

I may just play it for a month or so and sell until there is a bigger library of game myself.

I'd have paid £280 for the Switch if it was bundled with Zelda.

As the above poster mentioned, you're pushing close to £350 for this and a copy of Zelda. LOL nope.

Well that was like been a bystander to a horrific car crash and watching the husband trying to desperately revive his dying wife.

...I'll probably still buy one for Zelda though

It's nothing to with Brexit anyway, this thing costs 350 euros in France and the game and accessory prices are ridiculous.

Nintendo are just trying it on and it's going to end badly for them.

I was set to order but the launch line up is poor (not being a big zelda fan). I think they really should have waited and launched with Mario in pack, it would be a huge seller - i dont see why they are rushing this out for a march launch.

Have not seen the launch or read much, but seeing people moaning about the price is quite funny, most would be willing to by an Ipad for £350+ with 32gb yet complain about a portable gaming system.

Yea, or down the pub/crazy night out :p
